Fits Bissell 3598Z and Crosswave HF3 cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part BVBOP03108501EU and FBP092.
22.2V 2500mAh lithium-ion pack delivers full motor power without voltage sag on carpet or hard floors.
Slide connector seats firmly into the battery slot with positive contact pins aligned; locking tab secures during operation.
We ran load tests on the motor circuit; BMS responded cleanly to peak current draw without early cutoff.
Remove this battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge — continuous dock trickle charge degrades capacity significantly faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bissell 3598Z / Crosswave HF3 Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum — 22.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BVBOP03108501EU)

This is a 22.2V 2500mAh (55.5Wh) lithium-ion battery pack for the Bissell 3598Z and Crosswave HF3 Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum. It replaces OEM part numbers BVBOP03108501EU and FBP092. The battery slots into the original housing and connects to the same BMS interface as the factory pack.

  • 3598Z and Crosswave HF3 compatibility: Both models run the same 22.2V battery rail with an identical connector and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell pack fits either unit without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycles on the Crosswave HF3 dock. The BMS held stable voltage under sustained motor load, and the protection circuit triggered correctly on simulated overcurrent — no false cutoffs during normal suction cycles.
  • Dock charging habit for the Crosswave HF3: The Crosswave HF3 charging dock applies a trickle current after the pack reaches full charge. Leaving the vacuum on the dock permanently accelerates cell degradation. Charge to full and remove the unit from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The 3598Z motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked or the brush roll is restricted. This increased draw pulls the cell voltage below the BMS threshold before the indicator registers as low, causing the motor to slow and suction to fall. The battery itself is not the root cause in this scenario. Clean the filter and clear the brush roll — if suction restores immediately, the cell voltage should recover above 20V at rest.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the vacuum runs against a heavy carpet pile or through a blockage, current draw spikes sharply and the BMS shuts the output to protect the cells. After a brief pause the BMS resets and power returns. If this happens repeatedly in the same cleaning session, check the filter — a clogged filter forces the motor to work harder and repeat the trip cycle. Replace or wash the filter and retest before assuming the battery is faulty.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Bissell 3598Z loses suction halfway through a clean even though the battery indicator still shows half-full — is the new battery faulty?

Not necessarily. The indicator reads state of charge, not available current. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more than rated current, which sags cell voltage and drops suction before the indicator moves. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction restores immediately after, check voltage at rest — it should read above 20V if the pack is healthy.

The Crosswave HF3 motor cuts out after about 30 seconds on carpet, then comes back on after I pause — what's causing this?

That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip. Heavy carpet increases motor load, the current spike trips the protection circuit, and power shuts off. After a short pause the BMS resets and the motor runs again. Clear any brush roll obstruction and clean the filter — both reduce the load spike. If the trip stops happening after that, the battery is fine; the restriction was the trigger.

My replacement battery charges to full on the dock, but after a few weeks the runtime has noticeably shortened — is the cell already degrading?

Continuous dock charging is the most likely cause. The Crosswave HF3 dock keeps the pack on a trickle charge after it hits 100%, and sustained trickle current degrades lithium-ion cells faster than normal charge cycles. Remove the vacuum from the dock once the charge indicator shows full. Charge only when the pack is depleted, and capacity loss should slow significantly from that point forward.
