Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BlackView Ultra / A6 — 3.7V Li-ion 1850mAh Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1850mAh (6.85Wh), built to fit the BlackView Ultra and A6 smartphones. It replaces a degraded original cell that no longer holds usable charge. Physical dimensions are 74.20 × 58.04 × 4.28mm — confirm these against your existing cell before installation.
- Ultra and A6 platform fit: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why one cell covers both. The fuel gauge IC on each device reads the same charge curve from this chemistry.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Ultra. The BMS accepted the cell without a fault flag, and charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V with no thermal event.
- First-cycle fast charge tip: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BlackView Ultra after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. Under high-draw loads — mobile data, screen at full brightness, GPS — the new cell's voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC expects based on its old calibration map. When cell voltage falls below the BMS cutoff threshold, the phone shuts down even though the percentage display still reads 20–30%. The fix is one full calibration cycle: discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate.
OS reporting erratic or incorrect battery percentage after replacement
The coulomb counter in the BlackView Ultra's fuel gauge IC builds its percentage model against the old cell's impedance and discharge curve. Drop in a new cell and those reference values no longer match the actual cell state. The result is percentage jumps, stalled readings, or a figure that disagrees with real remaining capacity. Run two complete discharge-to-shutdown and full-charge cycles without interruption — the fuel gauge IC resets its learned curve by the end of the second cycle and readings stabilise.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BlackView Ultra won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the new battery dead already?
It almost certainly isn't dead — the BMS has locked out the cell because voltage dropped below 2.5V per cell during storage. Most chargers won't push current into a cell the BMS has hard-locked. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a PC port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs time to trickle-feed the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold of around 3.0V before normal charging resumes.
USB fast charging stopped working the moment I put in the replacement battery — the phone charges slowly on every cable now.
The USB-PD or proprietary fast charge handshake the BlackView Ultra uses is negotiated between the charge IC and the BMS on the new cell. On the first cycle, some BMS units default to a conservative current limit until they complete one full charge cycle and confirm cell health. Charge the phone fully at standard rate once, then reconnect using your original fast charger — the BMS should accept the higher current on the second cycle.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging, but the charger and cable are fine — is something wrong with the new cell?
Mild warmth on the first few charges is expected. A fresh cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat while pushing current into it. If the phone stays warm to the touch but not hot, and warmth disappears after two or three full cycles, the cell is behaving normally as impedance settles. If the back becomes uncomfortable to hold or charging stops unexpectedly, disconnect and check that the battery connector is fully seated flat — a half-seated connector raises contact resistance and generates excess heat.
