Fits PHICOMM Freecomm 2S and F680L smartphones; replaces OEM battery BL-F34 directly.
3.8V Li-Polymer cell rated 2800mAh delivers 10.64Wh total energy for typical all-day use cycles.
Connector mates flush to the Freecomm 2S battery slot; no mechanical modification needed for installation.
We bench-tested this cell against a discharged OEM pack; the BMS accepted charge current without fault codes on first insertion.
On first full charge after installation, complete one discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

PHICOMM Freecomm 2S — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-F34)

This is a 3.8V, 2800mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the PHICOMM Freecomm 2S and F680L smartphones. It uses OEM part number BL-F34 and fits directly into either model. Capacity is 10.64Wh — matching the original cell specification.

  • Freecomm 2S and F680L compatibility: Both models share the same BL-F34 battery footprint, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake is identical across both, so one cell fits either device without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Freecomm 2S platform. The BMS accepted the charge curve without cutoff errors, and voltage held steady under screen and modem load.
  • First-cycle fast charge caution: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Freecomm 2S after a cell swap

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under combined modem and display load before the gauge reaches 0%. The phone interprets the voltage drop as an emergency cutoff and shuts down, even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. Running one full discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and eliminates most premature cutoffs.

Phone reports wrong battery percentage after the BL-F34 is installed

The fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge profile from the original cell. A new cell with a different internal impedance shifts the voltage-to-capacity curve, so the reported percentage drifts — often reading 100% for too long, then dropping sharply. The fix is straightforward: drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without disconnecting. After one complete cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and percentage reporting stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Freecomm 2S won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

It is almost certainly a BMS lockout caused by deep discharge in storage. When a Li-Polymer cell drops below roughly 2.5V, the BMS cuts all output to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. If the cell still has any recoverable voltage, the BMS will trickle-charge back above the lockout threshold and the phone will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the BL-F34 — the phone only charges slowly now.

This is normal on the first cycle with a new cell. The phone's charge IC runs a handshake to verify the BMS can accept high-current input; on a fresh cell it often defaults to standard rate until one full charge cycle completes. Charge the phone to 100% at standard speed, then discharge it fully. On the second charge, fast charging typically re-engages. If it does not, check that the charger output is at least 9V — a 5V-only adapter will never trigger the fast-charge protocol regardless of the cell.

The battery percentage on my Freecomm 2S keeps jumping — it skips from 45% straight to 20% with no warning.

Erratic percentage jumps point to the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an impedance it has not yet mapped. The original cell had a smooth discharge curve stored in the coulomb counter; the replacement cell's internal resistance differs slightly, causing voltage readings to misalign with the stored capacity table. Run two full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted charge-to-100% cycles back to back. After the second cycle the gauge has enough data to build an accurate curve and the percentage jumps stop.
