Fits BLU DASH 3.5 and D170 models, replacing OEM part C654804130T.
3.7V lithium-ion cell with 1300mAh capacity delivers the original power profile for this smartphone.
Connector sits flush against the phone's internal battery slot with no locking tab or keyed orientation.
We bench-tested this cell in the DASH 3.5; the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS handshake on first power-on without recalibration errors.
On first charge after installation, disable any fast-charge setting for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU DASH 3.5 / D170 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C654804130T)

This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion cell built to fit the BLU DASH 3.5 and D170 smartphones. It replaces part number C654804130T and slots into the same battery bay as the original. Use the capacity figure from this listing — 1300mAh — not third-party sources.

  • DASH 3.5 and D170 compatibility: Both models run the same voltage rail and use an identical connector footprint with the same BMS handshake protocol, which is why one cell covers both. Swapping between them requires no wiring changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the DASH 3.5 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering an over-voltage cutoff, and the charge IC reached full termination voltage correctly on the first cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to near-zero followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% before normal use. The DASH 3.5 fuel gauge IC calibrates its coulomb counter against that first complete curve — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings for several days.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the DASH 3.5 after a cell swap

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff — typically around 3.5–3.6V under modem or display load — faster than the gauge expects. The phone reads 25% but the cell voltage has already dropped below the shutdown threshold. One complete discharge-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to remap to the new cell's actual curve and eliminates the premature cutoff.

Device not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if this battery dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS will have entered lockout mode to prevent deep-discharge damage. The phone will show nothing — no charging indicator, no boot screen. Connect the phone to a wall adapter rated at least 1A and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC on the DASH 3.5 trickle-charges a locked-out cell at a low recovery current until the cell voltage rises above the BMS re-enable threshold of around 2.9V.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my BLU DASH 3.5 showing the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the DASH 3.5 stores a discharge curve mapped to your old cell — it has no way of knowing a new cell with different internal resistance is now installed. Until the coulomb counter recalibrates, the percentage display is essentially guessing. Run one full discharge from 100% to near-zero, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single cycle the gauge reads accurately against the new cell's actual curve.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged the replacement battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the DASH 3.5 defaults to standard constant-current mode while it characterises the new cell's impedance. It will not accept a higher charge rate until it has completed at least one full cycle and confirmed the cell responds within expected voltage and temperature limits. Let the first charge complete normally at standard rate, and fast charging will re-enable on the second cycle.

My DASH 3.5 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — should I stop?

Mild warmth on the first one or two charge cycles is normal. A new cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more heat while pushing current into it. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charging indicator cuts out prematurely, disconnect and let it cool for 10 minutes before reconnecting. Surface temperature that stays below roughly 40°C and drops off after the first couple of cycles is not a fault.
