Fits BLU Dash XL, D710L, D710U smartphones; replaces OEM part C885441230L.
3.8V, 1900mAh cell restores full runtime to the Dash XL after original battery degrades or fails to hold charge.
Connector is a standard smartphone JST type; slides into the battery slot with the contacts facing the device PCB.
We bench-tested this cell in a Dash XL unit; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion and delivered stable 3.8V under processor load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Dash XL / D710L / D710U — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C885441230L)

This is a 3.8V, 1900mAh Li-ion cell built to fit the BLU Dash XL, D710L, and D710U smartphones. It replaces part number C885441230L when the original cell can no longer hold a charge or fails to power the phone. Voltage and capacity match OEM spec exactly.

  • Dash XL / D710L / D710U compatibility: All three model numbers share the same 3.8V rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the entire variant group without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Dash XL platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC cycled cleanly through CC/CV phases on each pass.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing a new cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC one complete reference cycle against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Dash XL after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. Under screen-on or modem load, the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge predicts — the phone hits the low-voltage cutoff threshold while the OS still shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter reference and typically eliminates the early cutoff.

Phone does not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells in storage self-discharge slowly. If the cell drops below roughly 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks charging current to prevent damage to a deeply discharged cell. The phone will show no charging indicator and will not boot. Connect to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS unlock threshold, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Dash XL battery percentage jumps around after I put in the new cell — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the Dash XL is still running the discharge curve it mapped to the old battery. Until it has a full reference cycle on the new cell, percentage readings will be erratic. Run one complete discharge down to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. After that cycle the coulomb counter resets to the new cell and readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on my Dash XL — it only trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Dash XL will sometimes reject the higher current rate until the BMS has completed one full charge handshake. This is a protective behaviour, not a fault. Let the phone complete one full charge at the slower rate without interrupting it. On the next charge cycle, connect to the same fast charger — the BMS handshake will have completed and the charge IC should accept the full current rate.

My Dash XL gets noticeably warm near the battery while charging after the replacement — is that normal?

A new cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the initial CC phase. Some warmth on the first few cycles is normal. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charge IC throttles back repeatedly, remove the phone from its case while charging for the first three cycles — this lets heat escape and gives the impedance time to settle as the cell conditions.
