Fits BLU Vivo 5 Mini, V050 — replaces OEM part C655339150L battery.
3.8V, 1500mAh lithium-ion cell restores full charge cycles on this compact smartphone.
Connector is soldered directly to the motherboard — requires careful disassembly and micro-soldering skill.
We bench-tested against the original OEM pack; BMS accepted charge and held voltage stable under sustained modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Vivo 5 Mini — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C655339150L)

This is a 3.8V, 1500mAh Li-ion battery for the BLU Vivo 5 Mini (V050). It replaces OEM part C655339150L and restores power to calling, messaging, and app functions when the original cell has degraded or failed to hold charge. Capacity is 5.7Wh at rated voltage.

  • Vivo 5 Mini / V050 fitment: Both model designations run the same 3.8V single-cell architecture with the same connector pinout and BMS handshake. One battery covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Vivo 5 Mini platform. The BMS accepted charge protocol correctly, voltage held steady under screen and modem load, and the protection circuit tripped at the expected low-voltage threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on this device calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage readout to drift until recalibration completes naturally.

Why the Vivo 5 Mini reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC stores a discharge model built against the original cell's internal resistance and capacity. When a new cell goes in, that stored model no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, so percentage readouts lag or jump. The IC needs at least one full discharge-charge cycle to map the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. After that cycle, percentage tracking stabilises and aligns with real remaining capacity.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below what the modem or display backlight needs under peak load, even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The voltage cliff is steeper on a new cell before the gauge IC recalibrates — the reported percentage and the actual deliverable voltage briefly diverge. Run the phone through one full discharge to near-zero, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline and shutdowns at false-high percentages stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vivo 5 Mini won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the battery dead?

Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out the cell after voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS unlock threshold, after which the phone boots normally. If the screen shows no charging indicator at all after 30 minutes, try a different cable and confirm the charger outputs at least 5V 1A.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped this battery in — the phone charges, but slowly

The USB-PD or proprietary fast charge handshake sometimes fails on the first cycle with a new BMS. The charge IC negotiates current limits based on cell temperature and impedance readings, and a fresh cell reads higher impedance than a broken-in one, so the IC defaults to standard charge rate as a precaution. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle to 100%, then unplug and let the phone cool to room temperature before testing fast charge again. After that first cycle, impedance drops into the expected range and the fast charge handshake completes correctly.

The battery percentage on my Vivo 5 Mini jumps around erratically — goes from 45% to 62% without charging

Erratic percentage jumps mean the fuel gauge IC is still recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve. This is normal for the first two or three cycles after a cell replacement. Drain the phone down to auto-shutdown, charge uninterrupted to 100%, and repeat that cycle twice. By the third full cycle the IC has enough data to track the new cell accurately and percentage jumps stop.
