Fits BLU Life Pro (L210a, L210i) smartphone; replaces OEM battery 13J30S.
3.8V lithium-polymer cell rated 2500mAh delivers stable voltage under processor and display load.
Connector clips into original slot with no modification; locking tab seats flush against phone frame.
We cycled the cell at 500mA discharge and observed clean voltage curve with no early cutoff; BMS accepted full charge without fault codes.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates its voltage reference against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Life Pro / L210a / L210i — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (13J30S)

This is a 3.8V, 2500mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the BLU Life Pro, L210a, and L210i smartphones. It replaces OEM part number 13J30S and restores power to the processor, display, and wireless radios. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • Life Pro / L210a / L210i compatibility: All three models share the same 3.8V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell fits all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a BLU Life Pro unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, balanced correctly, and reported state-of-charge without error flags.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

A new lithium-polymer cell has a steeper voltage cliff than a worn original. When the modem fires a transmission burst or the display peaks brightness, the cell voltage drops sharply under that brief high-current draw. The BMS reads a voltage below its cutoff threshold and shuts the phone down — even though the reported percentage still looks reasonable. One full discharge-charge cycle lets the coulomb counter recalibrate to the new cell's actual discharge curve. After recalibration, the OS percentage tracks real capacity and the premature shutdowns stop.

OS reporting wrong battery percentage after cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the BLU Life Pro stores charge-curve data from the old cell in its coulomb counter. After a cell swap, the IC applies that old curve to the new cell and the percentage reading drifts — often reading 100% too quickly or dropping suddenly mid-use. Drain the battery fully until the phone powers off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable. After that single cycle the fuel gauge IC resets its baseline to the new cell's actual capacity at 3.8V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BLU Life Pro won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the battery dead?

A lithium-polymer cell stored uncharged will self-discharge below 2.5V, and the BMS locks out to prevent damage at that threshold. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers above the BMS unlock threshold, then the phone will boot normally. If the charge indicator never appears after 45 minutes on a wall adapter, the cell has dropped below recoverable voltage.

Fast charging stopped working after I put this battery in — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on a new cell presents higher impedance than the worn original. The phone's charge IC detects this and drops back to standard charge current as a protective measure. Run one full standard-rate charge cycle to 100% without interrupting it. After that cycle the charge IC re-negotiates the current profile and fast charging resumes at its normal rate.

The phone feels warm near the battery while charging — is that normal with the new cell?

Some warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new high-impedance lithium-polymer cell is expected. The charge IC is pushing current into a cell that hasn't yet formed its full electrochemical baseline, which creates slightly more resistance and heat than a broken-in cell. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charge stops mid-cycle, remove the case to improve airflow and charge on a flat hard surface. After two or three full cycles the warmth during charging drops to the same level as the original battery.
