Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Prestigio MultiPhone 4500 Duo — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PAP4500 DUO)
This is a 3.7V, 1750mAh Li-ion cell for the Prestigio MultiPhone 4500 Duo smartphone. It replaces the original PAP4500 DUO battery when the existing cell has degraded, swells, or can no longer hold a charge. Dimensions are 67.15 × 55.70 × 4.80mm — verify your original cell matches before fitting.
- MultiPhone 4500 Duo fitment: The dual-SIM 4500 Duo runs two active radio modems simultaneously, which places higher sustained draw on the cell than a single-SIM device. The voltage rail and connector on this replacement match the original BMS handshake requirements for that configuration.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on the MultiPhone 4500 Duo platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MultiPhone 4500 Duo after a cell swap
A new cell has a steeper voltage-discharge curve than a well-used original. The fuel gauge IC on the MultiPhone 4500 Duo is still calibrated to the old cell's curve, so it misreads remaining capacity. When dual-SIM modem load or a screen wake event pulls current, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS reports zero percent. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% lets the coulomb counter reset against the new curve and eliminates most premature shutoffs.
Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If this battery shipped or sat unused long enough to drop below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage and will not pass current to the device. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC on the board needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS releases and the phone can boot. If the charging LED does not appear within 30 minutes, check that the battery connector is fully seated and retry from a 5V/1A wall adapter.

Frequently Asked Questions
The MultiPhone 4500 Duo shows the wrong battery percentage after I fitted the new cell — it jumped from 15% to 60% mid-use. What's happening?
The fuel gauge IC on the MultiPhone 4500 Duo was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original worn cell, not the new one. A fresh 1750mAh cell has a different voltage-versus-capacity profile, so the IC misreads state of charge until it sees a full reference cycle. Run the phone down until it shuts off on its own, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without using it. After that single full cycle the coulomb counter resets against the new curve and percentage readings stabilise.
Both SIM slots are active and the battery drains noticeably faster than I expected — is the replacement cell drawing too much current?
Two active radio modems produce sustained RF transmit bursts simultaneously, which is the normal load profile for the 4500 Duo. The PAP4500 DUO cell is rated for this draw, but a dual-SIM standby workload will always consume more capacity than single-SIM operation — that is expected behaviour, not a cell fault. Check that neither SIM is roaming, since roaming forces the modem to transmit at higher power to reach distant towers and will accelerate drain visibly. Switching one slot to 2G-only when a data connection is not needed on that line reduces the RF current draw directly.
Fast charging stopped working on the MultiPhone 4500 Duo after I installed the replacement battery — the phone only trickle charges now.
On the first charge cycle with a new cell, some charge ICs default to a conservative pre-charge current until the BMS has completed one full acceptance cycle and confirmed cell integrity. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault. Charge the phone fully from flat using a 5V/1A adapter without interrupting the session. On the second charge cycle, the charge IC recognises the cell as healthy and steps up to its normal current rate. If reduced charge current persists beyond the second full cycle, reseat the battery connector and confirm the contact pins are clean and fully engaged.
