Fits Manta TEL1711, TEL1713, MS1701, and TEL1800 smartphones; replaces original 3.7V lithium-ion cell.
3.7V nominal voltage with 1200mAh capacity delivers 4.44Wh — standard spec for this phone generation.
Connector seats flush into the original battery slot; no modification to contacts or locking tab required.
We cycled this cell on a TEL1711 bench rig; BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion without fault codes.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Manta TEL1711 / TEL1713 / MS1701 / TEL1800 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh (4.44Wh) Li-ion cell for Manta smartphones including the TEL1711, TEL1713, MS1701, and TEL1800. It replaces a degraded or failed original cell in budget-tier Manta handsets where the manufacturer no longer supplies parts. Physical dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — measure your original before fitting.

  • Multi-model fit across the Manta lineup: These handsets share a common PCB layout and battery bay spec, so the same cell voltage, connector pitch, and BMS communication protocol carries across TEL1711, TEL1713, MS1701, and TEL1800 variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the bench. The BMS accepted charge handshake correctly, held voltage at load, and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold — no forced shutdowns during the test sequence.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before the phone trusts the percentage readings it reports.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Manta TEL1711 after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Budget-tier Li-ion cells have a steeper discharge curve in the lower state-of-charge range. When the modem fires a transmission burst or the screen brightness spikes, internal resistance causes a momentary voltage drop that crosses the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the fuel gauge still reads 25%. One full discharge-charge cycle lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its model against the new cell, and the shutdowns typically stop after that first cycle.

Phone warm near the battery bay during the first few charges

A new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. During the first two or three charge cycles, the charge IC pushes current into higher impedance, which generates more heat than you'd see on a settled cell. This is normal and reduces as the cell cycles. If warmth continues past the third full charge or the phone becomes hot to the touch, check that the charge IC is not stuck in a fast-charge mode — drop to a standard 5V/1A charger and run one cycle at that rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Manta TEL1711 shows 25% battery then shuts off instantly — is the new cell faulty?

Almost certainly not. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the remaining charge on the new cell. Run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline and the percentage readings align with actual cell voltage.

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before fitting — what's happening?

The cell discharged below the BMS lockout threshold in storage, typically around 2.5V per cell. The BMS trips into protection mode and blocks all current flow until voltage is recovered. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the recovery threshold, the BMS releases, and the phone boots normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the new battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge protocol negotiation can fail because the BMS hasn't yet confirmed cell health status to the charge IC. Complete one full charge on a standard 5V/1A charger. On the second charge, reconnect your fast charger — the charge IC should re-negotiate the higher current profile once it has one full cycle of BMS communication logged.
