Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch 12010776 — 14.4V Ni-MH 3000mAh Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V Ni-MH replacement battery rated at 3000mAh (43.2Wh) for the Bosch 12010776 cordless vacuum. It fits the handheld and stick vacuum models that use this OEM part number. The cell pack matches the original voltage rail and connector format used on these units.
- 12010776 platform fit: These Bosch cordless vacuums share a fixed 14.4V Ni-MH architecture with a direct connector and BMS handshake tied to cell chemistry. Substituting a different chemistry or voltage causes the charger to reject the pack or the vacuum's motor controller to run out of spec.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the vacuum's motor load profile and confirmed the BMS held stable through both normal suction draws and the higher-current spikes that occur when the motor fights partial blockages. Cell temperature stayed within safe range across the full discharge curve.
- Dock charging behaviour on Ni-MH vacuums: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock indefinitely. Ni-MH cells on continuous trickle charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
Ni-MH cells show voltage sag under sustained motor load before the pack is actually depleted. On the Bosch 12010776, this shows up as weakening suction while the indicator still reads mid-charge. A partially blocked filter makes this worse — the motor draws more current to compensate, which deepens the voltage sag and triggers what feels like premature battery failure. Clean or replace the filter first, then reassess actual battery performance.
Motor cutting out on thick carpet and then recovering seconds later
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged nozzle, dense carpet pile — the motor pulls sustained current above the BMS threshold, and the pack disconnects to protect the cells. The brief recovery you see is the BMS resetting after the thermal or current condition clears. Check the filter and nozzle for restriction before assuming the battery is at fault. If the cutout persists on a clean filter, verify the pack is reading above 12.8V under light load before concluding the cells have degraded.

Frequently Asked Questions
The vacuum loses suction strength well before the battery light comes on — is the battery failing or is something else causing this?
Voltage sag on Ni-MH cells causes the motor to slow under load before the pack is fully discharged, so the indicator doesn't catch it. The most common amplifier of this symptom is a partially blocked filter — when airflow is restricted, the motor draws more current, which deepens the sag. Clean the filter first and retest. If suction recovers, the battery is not the cause; if it doesn't, check the resting voltage — a healthy 14.4V Ni-MH pack should read at least 13.8V off the charger.
The vacuum cuts out mid-use on carpet and restarts on its own after a few seconds — what's happening?
The BMS is tripping on overcurrent, then resetting once the load clears. Dense carpet or any partial nozzle blockage forces the motor to sustain higher-than-rated current draw, and the BMS disconnects the pack to protect the cells. Remove the nozzle, clear any debris, and clean or replace the filter before using the vacuum on heavy carpet again. If the cutout keeps happening on a clear nozzle, the cells may be ageing and no longer holding voltage under load — measure pack voltage under load and replace if it drops below 12.0V during operation.
This replacement battery isn't charging on the Bosch dock — the charger just doesn't respond to it at all.
Some Bosch chargers for the 12010776 platform perform a brief BMS handshake before initiating charge — if the pack voltage is too low after storage, the charger may not recognise it. Remove the battery, wait 60 seconds, reseat it firmly, and try again. If the charger still shows no response, check that the contact pins on both the battery and dock are clean and making full contact. A pack that has dropped below approximately 10V from extended storage can fall outside the charger's initiation window; in that case, a short manual trickle charge at 0.1C through a compatible external Ni-MH charger can bring the pack voltage back into the range the dock will accept.
