Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips HomeRun 3000 / XU2000 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C1048A2)
This is a 14.4V, 4500mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Philips HomeRun 3000 cordless vacuum and the XU2000 series, including the XU2000/10, XU2000/20, and XU2000/20 Robot Vacuum Cleaner. It replaces OEM part numbers C1048A2 and C1048A7. Dimensions are 143.00 × 44.90 × 25.20mm — measure your original pack before ordering if you are unsure.
- XU2000 series compatibility: The XU2000/10, XU2000/20, and Robot Vacuum Cleaner variants share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol as the HomeRun 3000. One cell pack covers all of them.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the HomeRun 3000 motor under load. The BMS held stable across repeated full-draw starts and did not trip on the motor's inrush current at 14.4V nominal.
- Dock charging habit on cordless vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charge applies a slow trickle that degrades Li-ion cell capacity faster than normal cycling. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The HomeRun 3000 motor pulls significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked. That extra draw causes voltage to sag at the cell level — the battery indicator still reads mid-range, but the motor is already receiving less than its operating threshold. Suction feels weak even though the vacuum appears charged. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers, the battery was not the fault — the motor was drawing over rated current against restricted airflow.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction forces the motor to pull above the pack's current threshold, the BMS disconnects the output to protect the cells — then resets after a short cooldown. The vacuum powers back on as if nothing happened. Check the filter and clear any blockage at the brush head before assuming the battery is faulty. A clean airpath drops motor draw back within the BMS's trip threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Philips HomeRun 3000 suddenly loses suction halfway through cleaning even though the battery shows plenty of charge — what's causing that?
A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage to sag at the cell even when charge indicators still read mid-level. The motor loses drive before the indicator catches up. Clean the filter and check for blockages at the brush head first — if suction returns to normal, the battery is not the issue. If suction stays weak on a clean filter, measure pack voltage under load; it should hold above 13.0V during use.
The vacuum runs for a few seconds, cuts out, then comes back on by itself — is this the battery failing?
That's a BMS overcurrent trip, not cell failure. The battery's protection circuit disconnects output when sustained motor load exceeds its current limit, then resets after a short cooldown. It almost always happens when airflow is restricted — blocked filter, clogged brush roll, or a sealed nozzle. Clear the restriction and run the vacuum again; if the cutout stops, the pack is fine. If it trips on a completely clear airpath, the BMS trip threshold may have shifted — check pack voltage resting at 14.4V and under load above 13.0V.
This replacement battery fades noticeably faster than the original did when it was new — what shortens Li-ion life in cordless vacuums specifically?
Leaving the vacuum on the charging dock continuously is the main cause. Cordless vacuums parked permanently on the dock receive a constant low-level charge that keeps cells at 100% state of charge — the worst condition for Li-ion cycle life. Charge the pack to full, then remove it from the dock until the next use. That single habit change is the largest factor in extending how long the replacement pack holds its capacity.
