Fits Bosch BBH22041/01, BBH2RB20GB/01, VXAS011V20 handheld vacuums; replaces OEM part 11015613.
20.4V 1800mAh Ni-MH pack delivers steady voltage across cleaning cycles on restricted suction loads.
Slide-lock connector seats vertically into the handle bay with a single rotational tab engagement.
We bench-tested this cell on full motor draw; the BMS held clean voltage curve with no premature cutoff.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — Ni-MH cells fade rapidly under trickle charge; charge to full and remove immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch BBH22041/01 Series — 20.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (11015613)

This is a 20.4V 1800mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Bosch BBH22041/01 cordless vacuum cleaner and related models including the BBH2RB20GB/01 and VXAS011V20. It replaces OEM part number 11015613. Capacity is 1800mAh (36.72Wh), matching the original specification.

  • BBH22041/01, BBH2RB20GB/01, VXAS011V20 compatibility: These three models share the same 20.4V cell configuration, physical connector, and BMS communication protocol — the battery pack slots in and the charger recognises it without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the BBH22041/01 platform. The BMS held voltage above the motor cut-off threshold through the full discharge curve, and the charger completed the charge cycle without fault codes.
  • Dock charging behaviour on this vacuum: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously. Ni-MH cells in this pack degrade significantly faster under constant trickle charge than they do under regular charge-then-remove cycles. Charge to full and pull it off the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when motor load increases — usually from a partially blocked filter or a restricted brush roll — and the battery voltage sags under that higher draw. Ni-MH cells drop voltage faster under sustained high current than the indicator circuit tracks. The vacuum motor slows before the LED signals low battery because the indicator reads resting voltage, not loaded voltage. Clean the filter first; if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-use then recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, sealed floor nozzle, or heavy carpet — the motor draws more current than the BMS threshold allows, and the pack shuts off to protect the cells. The BMS resets once current demand drops, which is why the vacuum comes back on after a brief pause. Clear the blockage and confirm the filter is clean; if the cutout continues after that, check that pack voltage at rest reads at least 20.0V before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Bosch BBH22041/01 loses suction well before the battery light flashes low — is the new battery faulty?

Not necessarily. The battery indicator on this vacuum reads resting cell voltage, not voltage under motor load. When the filter is even partially blocked, the motor pulls more current and voltage sags early — the indicator hasn't caught up yet. Clean the filter and test again; if suction holds through a full charge cycle after that, the pack is working correctly.

The vacuum motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then coming back on — what's happening?

That's the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a failing battery. On the BBH22041/01, sustained restricted airflow forces the motor to draw beyond the BMS cut-off threshold, so the pack shuts down briefly to protect the cells. It resets once current demand drops, which is why the vacuum restarts on its own. Check the filter and brush roll for blockages, then confirm resting pack voltage is at or above 20.0V before your next run.

This replacement battery seems to drain faster than my original did when it was new — why?

Ni-MH cells in this pack degrade faster than normal if the vacuum was regularly left on the dock between uses. Continuous trickle charging damages cell capacity over time, so a pack that replaces a heavily dock-charged original may feel like it underperforms by comparison — the original had already set a degraded baseline. From here, charge the pack fully and remove it from the dock rather than leaving it docked overnight. Capacity will stabilise after three to five full charge-discharge cycles.
