Fits Kärcher RCV 2 robotic vacuum cleaner, replaces original 14.4V battery pack.
14.4V and 2600mAh capacity delivers 37.44Wh to power motor and navigation on hard floors and carpet.
Connector seats vertically into the dock bay with a single locking tab on the left side.
We bench tested this cell on the RCV 2 charging dock — BMS accepted handshake on first insertion, no fault codes.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently between cleaning cycles — continuous dock charge causes capacity fade faster than charging only when depleted.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Karcher RCV 2 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Karcher RCV 2 robotic vacuum cleaner. It powers the motor, brush system, and onboard navigation electronics. Fits the RCV 2 platform directly — confirm your unit runs on 14.4V before ordering.

  • RCV 2 platform fit: The RCV 2 operates on a 14.4V lithium-ion architecture that drives both the suction motor and the navigation sensors from a single cell pack. This replacement matches that voltage rail and the physical dimensions of the original pack — 70.50 x 37.20 x 37.00mm.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the RCV 2 platform. The BMS handled motor start-up current without tripping and maintained voltage under sustained suction load across varying floor surfaces.
  • Dock charging behaviour on the RCV 2: Remove the RCV 2 from its charging dock once the battery reaches full charge. Units left on the dock indefinitely pass a low trickle current through the cells continuously, which accelerates capacity loss in Li-ion packs. Charge when depleted, then undock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low

This happens when the RCV 2's motor draws more current than rated — usually because the filter is partially blocked or the brush roll is restricted. The battery voltage sags under that elevated load, and the motor loses power before the charge indicator registers a problem. The battery itself is not necessarily faulty. Clean the filter and clear the brush roll, then retest — if suction holds, the cell was never the issue.

RCV 2 motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, tangled brush, or debris in the inlet — the motor draws a sustained spike above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts output temporarily. The unit pauses, the BMS resets, and it starts again. Clear the restriction first. If the cutout continues on a clean filter with a new battery, measure pack voltage under load — it should hold above 12.5V during normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Karcher RCV 2 battery was replaced but the vacuum won't charge on the dock — what's wrong?

Some robotic vacuum chargers expect a BMS handshake before initiating a charge cycle — if the replacement cell's BMS doesn't respond correctly, the dock won't push current. Check that the battery contacts are seated flush and free of debris. Plug the dock into a different outlet and let the vacuum sit on the dock for 10 minutes undisturbed. If the charge LED still does not activate, measure voltage at the dock output pins — it should read approximately 16–17V when idle.

The RCV 2 used to clean the whole floor on one charge — now it stops well before finishing. The battery is only a few months old.

Capacity fade this early usually points to continuous dock charging. Leaving the RCV 2 on the dock between every run passes a constant low current through the Li-ion cells, which degrades capacity faster than normal cycling. Change the habit — charge only when the battery is depleted, then remove the unit from the dock. If runtime has already dropped significantly, run two full discharge-and-charge cycles to let the BMS recalibrate its state-of-charge reading.

The RCV 2 cuts out suddenly on carpet but runs fine on hard floors — is the battery the problem?

Carpet demands more from the motor than hard floors — the brush roll works harder and the suction path restricts more easily, which raises current draw. If the battery's BMS trips on that sustained high load, the unit shuts down mid-run. Check the filter and brush roll for partial blockages first, since a restriction amplifies the current spike. If the unit still cuts out on clean carpet with a clear filter, check pack voltage immediately after cutout — a healthy cell should recover to above 13V within 30 seconds of the BMS resetting.
