Fits Bosch BHN20110/01, BHN20110/02, BHN20110/03, BHN20110/04 handheld vacuums; replaces OEM Part No. 11051746.
20.4V Ni-MH pack with 2000mAh capacity delivers stable voltage throughout the cleaning cycle without sudden sag under motor load.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot; locking tab seats flush on the left side when fully inserted and engaged.
We bench-tested this cell on the BHN20110/02 motor load—BMS accepted the pack immediately, no handshake delays, sustained discharge at rated draw.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock continuously; Ni-MH packs on permanent trickle charge develop capacity fade—charge to full and remove.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch BHN20110 Series — 20.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (11051746)

This is a 20.4V Ni-MH replacement battery pack for the Bosch BHN20110 cordless handheld vacuum. It fits the /01, /02, /03, and /04 variants of that model. Capacity is 2000mAh (40.8Wh), matching the original specification.

  • BHN20110 variant compatibility: All four BHN20110 suffix variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack covers the full production run of this vacuum series without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the BHN20110 platform. The BMS responded correctly to the charger handshake, accepted full charge without fault codes, and released current to the motor at rated voltage under load.
  • Dock charging habit on this vacuum: Do not leave the BHN20110 sitting on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH cells in continuous trickle charge degrade faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the BHN20110, suction loss often happens at the motor level before the battery gauge registers a problem. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current. The BMS detects the excess draw and reduces output voltage to protect the cells. Clear or replace the filter first — if suction restores at full power, the battery was not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-use and then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the motor sustains restricted airflow — blocked nozzle, saturated filter, or heavy carpet fibres — current draw spikes past the BMS threshold and the pack shuts off as protection. The BMS resets after the cell temperature drops, which is why the vacuum restarts after a minute or two. Clear the blockage and check the filter condition before attributing the fault to the battery.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Bosch BHN20110 loses suction well before the battery light shows low — is the battery failing or something else?

A restricted filter is the most common cause. When airflow is blocked, the motor pulls more current than rated, and the BMS drops output voltage to protect the cells — suction falls even though charge level looks fine. Remove and tap out the filter, then retest at full power. If suction restores immediately, the battery is not the issue; if it doesn't, check that the replacement pack voltage holds above 18V under load.

The vacuum cuts out after a minute or two of use, then starts again after I leave it alone — what's causing that?

That restart pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip resetting after the cells cool. A sustained blockage — packed filter, hair wrap at the nozzle, or dense carpet — spikes motor current past the BMS protection threshold and the pack shuts down. Clear the blockage completely, then run the vacuum again. If trips continue on a clean filter with no obstruction, the pack's overcurrent threshold may be fatigued and the cell replacement is warranted.

This replacement battery fades noticeably faster than the original did when it was new — what shortens Ni-MH life on this vacuum?

Continuous dock charging is the leading cause of accelerated capacity fade in Ni-MH packs. The BHN20110 charger applies a trickle current when the vacuum sits docked, and Ni-MH cells lose capacity significantly faster under constant low-level charge than under charge-then-rest cycles. Charge the pack fully, remove it from the dock, and store the vacuum off the charger between uses. Following this habit, capacity should remain close to the rated 2000mAh well into the battery's service life.
