Fits BQ Aquaris X5 Plus smartphone, replaces OEM part number 3200.
3.85V lithium-polymer cell rated 3100mAh—supplies the full charge window this phone's fuel gauge IC expects.
Connector solders directly to the motherboard; polarity marked on both cell and pad, no keyed slot.
We bench-tested the cell across five full charge-discharge cycles; BMS accepted voltage curve without early cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BQ Aquaris X5 Plus — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (3200)

This is a 3.85V, 3100mAh lithium-polymer cell for the BQ Aquaris X5 Plus smartphone. It replaces part number 3200 when the original cell degrades or fails to hold a charge. Dimensions are 74.80 × 60.40 × 3.90 mm — verify fitment against your existing cell before installation.

  • Aquaris X5 Plus fitment: This cell matches the voltage rail, connector pinout, and physical envelope of the X5 Plus battery bay. The BMS communicates with the phone's charge IC over the same SMBus protocol as the original BQ part number 3200.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an X5 Plus unit. The BMS accepted charge handshake on the first cycle, and the charge IC stepped through CC and CV phases without error flags.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC needs to map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

A new cell has a steeper voltage curve than a worn original. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks in brightness, current draw spikes and the cell voltage drops sharply — the BMS reads that as a low-voltage fault and cuts output. The phone shuts off even though the fuel gauge still showed charge remaining. One full discharge-charge cycle lets the coulomb counter remap the curve, and the shutdowns typically stop after that calibration pass.

OS reporting wrong battery percentage after the cell swap

The Aquaris X5 Plus fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell in its non-volatile memory. After fitting a new 3100mAh cell, that stored curve no longer matches, so percentage readings jump or read high. Drain the phone fully until it powers off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charge disabled. After that single full cycle the fuel gauge resets its reference points against the new cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BQ Aquaris X5 Plus won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

The cell is likely in BMS lockout from deep discharge. If the cell voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V in storage, the protection circuit blocks output entirely to prevent thermal runaway. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC on the X5 Plus will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers enough for the BMS to unlock, then the phone will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the new battery — the phone charges but only slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the X5 Plus charge IC sometimes falls back to standard 5V charging because it hasn't verified the new BMS handshake under load. This is not a fault with the cell. Run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard speed, then enable fast charging again in settings. The protocol re-negotiation completes correctly on the second cycle in nearly all cases we've seen on the bench.

The battery percentage on my Aquaris X5 Plus jumps around erratically — it dropped from 60% to 11% in a few minutes.

That's the fuel gauge IC recalibrating after the cell swap. The coulomb counter is still using discharge data from the old worn cell, so its voltage-to-percentage mapping is off. Let the phone discharge fully until it powers itself off, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session with fast charging turned off. After that single calibration cycle, the percentage reading stabilises against the new cell's actual curve.
