Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Brondi AMICO SUPERVOICE — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (W11)
This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion battery replacing part number W11 in the Brondi AMICO SUPERVOICE, SUPERVOICE, and INTREPID 4G mobile phones. All three models share the same battery bay dimensions — 52 x 32 x 5mm — and the same W11 cell. Swap is mechanical: disconnect the old cell, seat the new one, and power on.
- AMICO SUPERVOICE / INTREPID 4G compatibility: These models run the same battery rail at 3.7V nominal with an identical connector and BMS handshake profile. One replacement cell covers all three device variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, monitoring BMS cutoff at the low-voltage threshold. The protection circuit tripped correctly at cell depletion and accepted a full recharge without fault flags.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown — do not top up mid-cycle. This gives the phone's fuel gauge IC a clean reference point against the new cell's discharge curve before it starts reporting percentage accurately.
Why the AMICO SUPERVOICE reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The phone's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC has no reference data for its actual capacity or voltage characteristics. Until it recalibrates, the percentage reading can jump, stall, or read higher than the real state of charge. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter against the new cell. After that single cycle, percentage tracking stabilises.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem's minimum supply threshold under load — even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The original cell degraded gradually, so the phone's shutdown threshold was never triggered until deep in the discharge curve. A new cell with a steeper voltage cliff at low charge can hit that cutoff earlier than expected. Check the cell is seated flush with no connector play, and complete two full discharge-charge cycles — the fuel gauge IC adjusts its low-voltage prediction after repeated full cycles, shifting the reported percentage closer to the actual cutoff point near 3.2V.

Frequently Asked Questions
The phone powered off by itself at around 25% after I put the new battery in — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the AMICO SUPERVOICE was calibrated to the old, degraded cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits its low-voltage floor — around 3.2V under modem load — at a different point in the discharge cycle than the phone expects. Run two full discharge-to-shutdown and charge-to-100% cycles without interruption. The coulomb counter resets against the new curve and the early shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it reads 60%, then drops to 40%, then goes back up without charging.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell. The IC uses stored data from the old cell to estimate state of charge, and a new cell's impedance and discharge profile don't match that data. The readings stabilise after one uninterrupted full discharge followed by a full charge to 100% — do not plug in or unplug mid-cycle. After that reference cycle, percentage tracking should hold steady across the discharge curve.
The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery area during the first few charges after fitting the new cell — is that normal?
Yes, and it settles after a few cycles. The charge IC on the AMICO SUPERVOICE pushes current into a new, higher-impedance cell, which generates more heat than a broken-in cell at the same charge rate. We saw the same behaviour on the bench during the first two charge cycles. Keep the phone on a hard, flat surface during charging rather than a soft surface that traps heat, and avoid using the phone heavily while it charges for the first three cycles. Warmth drops off once the cell's internal impedance normalises with use.
