Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cadus Clipper — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery
This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Cadus Clipper shaver. It fits the cordless grooming device directly and restores full cordless operation when the original cell no longer holds a charge. Capacity is 2.52Wh, matching the original cell specification.
- Cadus Clipper fitment: The Clipper runs a single Ni-MH cell at 3.6V to drive the motor and power the onboard charge controller. This replacement matches that voltage rail and physical form factor — 45.60 x 19.70 x 19.70mm — so the cell seats correctly in the housing without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, confirming the BMS accepted the cell without throwing a fault code and that the motor reached full speed from a cold start without triggering an undervoltage trip.
- Charging port care for the Clipper: After rinsing the shaver head, dry the charging port completely before docking — moisture bridging the charging contacts triggers a BMS protection fault that the device reports as a dead battery rather than a charging error.
Capacity fade from daily partial charging on the Clipper
Ni-MH cells in shavers are often charged daily after short use sessions, which means the cell rarely completes a full discharge-to-charge cycle. Over time this compresses the cell's usable voltage window and the onboard fuel gauge drifts out of calibration. The shaver then cuts out well before the indicator reaches empty, even though the battery is not actually flat. Running the cell down to cutoff before a full charge resets this drift and restores accurate indicator behaviour.
Motor speed dropping before the low-battery indicator activates
This happens when the cell's internal resistance has risen enough that motor load causes a voltage sag below the motor's operating threshold, but not yet below the BMS cutoff point. The indicator reads mid-charge while the motor visibly slows under cutting load. It is a cell condition issue, not a motor fault. Replacing the cell and running a full charge to 4.2V on the charger confirms whether the drop clears.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Cadus Clipper charges on the dock but the motor slows down after a few strokes — what's causing that?
That's voltage sag under motor load. When a Ni-MH cell ages, its internal resistance climbs, and the brief current spike when the motor engages pulls the cell voltage below the motor's operating threshold even though the resting voltage looks fine. The indicator can still show a partial charge while this is happening. Replace the cell and run a full charge cycle — if the motor holds speed through a full cutting session, the original cell was the fault.
The Clipper stopped charging after I rinsed it — the charger light comes on but the battery never fills up.
Water bridging the charging contacts trips the BMS into a protection state. The charger sees a load and signals activity, but the BMS has isolated the cell and no current reaches it. Remove the shaver from the dock, dry the port thoroughly with a cloth, then leave it at room temperature for at least an hour before reconnecting. If the BMS doesn't reset after a dry reconnect, the cell itself may need replacement to clear the fault.
The dock contacts on my Cadus Clipper look discoloured — could that stop the battery charging even if the battery is new?
Yes. Oxidised or residue-coated dock contacts add resistance to the charge path, and a high enough contact resistance means the charger never delivers enough current to bring the cell up to full charge voltage. This is a dock fault, not a battery fault. Clean the contacts on both the shaver and the dock with isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud, then reconnect — the charge indicator should respond within the first minute if contact was the issue.
