This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Wella Xpert HS70 cordless hair clipper. It replaces OEM part HR-AAAU (also listed as 1520902) and fits directly into the HS70 housing. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge.

The HS70's indicator reads resting cell voltage, not voltage under motor load. The motor loses speed because it's not getting enough voltage to maintain torque, even though the cell looks fine at rest. The HS70 stopped charging after I rinsed it under the tap — is the battery dead or is it something else?
Water trapped at the charging contacts bridges them and triggers a BMS protection fault — the device reports no charge activity, which looks like a dead battery but usually isn't. Remove the battery and let the charging port dry completely for at least 24 hours before reconnecting power. Once dry, reinsert the battery and place the shaver back on charge; if the fault was moisture-related, charging resumes normally. The dock contacts on my HS70 look clean but the shaver still won't charge — could oxidisation be the issue?
