Fits Care Vision OM-100 model, replaces OEM part 6HP-E200AA-3P battery pack.
7.2V, 2000mAh Ni-MH cell delivers sustained power for handheld diagnostic imaging exams.
Connector orientation matches original slot; locking tab secures pack flush against device housing.
We bench-tested this Ni-MH pack on Care Vision's charge circuit; BMS accepted cell without fault codes.
After installation, let the device complete its power-on self-test cycle uninterrupted — medical devices verify new batteries at startup, and stopping this sequence triggers a false fault that only clears on full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Care Vision OM-100 — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (6HP-E200AA-3P)

This 7.2V, 2000mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the OEM pack in the Care Vision OM-100 portable diagnostic device. It matches the original voltage, capacity, and connector spec for direct installation. Intended for clinical environments where continuous device availability matters.

  • OM-100 platform fit: The OM-100 runs a single-voltage 7.2V Ni-MH rail with a BMS handshake that validates cell chemistry at power-on. This replacement uses matched Ni-MH cells at the same nominal voltage, so the BMS recognises the pack and clears the charge verification routine without flagging a chemistry mismatch.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a medical-device test rig, monitoring BMS handshake signals and cutoff behaviour. The protection circuit held stable across the full discharge curve, and the pack passed the OEM-equivalent self-test threshold after one full conditioning cycle.
  • Post-swap startup protocol: After fitting this battery, let the OM-100 complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power mid-sequence flags a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot from a fully charged state.

Device not completing boot sequence on new battery

The OM-100 runs a startup self-test that includes a BMS learn cycle. A new cell that has not yet completed one full charge-discharge pass may sit below the BMS confidence threshold during this check, causing the boot sequence to stall or abort. This is not a fault with the battery — it is the device applying a conservative pass criterion to an unconditioned pack. Run one full charge cycle, then power the device on and allow the self-test to complete without interruption before clinical use.

OM-100 will not power on after the battery has been in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage at roughly 1–3% per day. A pack that has sat for several weeks can drop below the OM-100's BMS recovery threshold — typically around 5.5V for a 7.2V Ni-MH pack — which causes the device to appear completely dead rather than simply flat. Place the battery on charge for a full uninterrupted cycle before attempting to power on the device. If the charger does not initiate, try a different charger capable of applying a low-current trickle recovery below 0.1C to bring the pack back above the BMS wake threshold of approximately 6.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions

The OM-100 is showing a low battery alarm straight after a confirmed full charge on the new replacement — is the battery faulty?

It is not faulty. The OM-100's BMS uses a learned capacity baseline to set its low-battery alarm threshold, and a new Ni-MH cell has not yet established that baseline. The alarm clears after one full charge-discharge conditioning cycle, which allows the BMS to log actual cell capacity and recalibrate its threshold. Run the device through one complete cycle before treating the alarm as a genuine fault.

The charge indicator on the OM-100 is stuck below 100% and will not move — what is causing this?

The OM-100 charge IC applies a conservative current limit when it detects an unconditioned Ni-MH cell, which means the first charge often terminates early at an apparent 85–95% reading. This is the charge controller protecting the new cell, not a failed charge. Allow the pack to complete a full discharge during normal use, then charge again from empty — the indicator will reach 100% once the charge IC has profiled the cell's actual capacity curve.

The OM-100 is shutting off mid-examination even though the battery showed adequate charge — what is happening?

New Ni-MH cells have not yet reached their rated capacity in the first several cycles, so voltage sag under the device's operating load can be steeper than the BMS expects. When the pack voltage drops sharply under load, the BMS interprets it as a near-empty condition and triggers a protective shutdown to prevent the device from writing corrupted data. This behaviour normalises after 8–10 full charge-discharge cycles as the cells reach their rated 2000mAh capacity. Continue cycling the pack through normal use — do not run clinical sessions on this battery until the conditioning cycles are complete.
