Fits CAT B10 rugged smartphone, replaces OEM part UP704060AL.
Delivers 3.7V and 1800mAh capacity — sustains voice calls, messaging, and core apps through a full workday on the B10's efficient processor.
Uses internal connector with keyed orientation; battery seats flush into the B10 slot and locks without adapter hardware.
Bench testing shows clean BMS initialization on first insertion — fuel gauge IC synced to factory discharge curve within the first two full cycles.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging runs.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CAT B10 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (UP704060AL)

This is a 3.7V 1800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the CAT B10 rugged smartphone. It uses OEM part number UP704060AL and fits directly into the B10's battery bay. Voltage and cell dimensions match the original: 64.63 × 43.95 × 7.95mm.

  • CAT B10 fit: The B10 uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion configuration. This cell matches that voltage rail and the connector orientation on the B10 battery deck. No adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a B10 unit. The BMS accepted the charge handshake without error, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold during deep discharge simulation.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging if your carrier or ROM supports the toggle. Run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the CAT B10 after a cell swap

The B10's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve from the original cell. After a cell swap, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage profile. When the modem fires up for a call or the screen brightness peaks, the new cell's voltage sags briefly. The fuel gauge reads that sag against the old curve and triggers a low-voltage shutdown — even though the cell still has usable charge. One full discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and eliminates the false cutoff.

CAT B10 not powering on after storage with a replacement cell

Li-ion cells that sit discharged in storage can drop below 2.5V per cell. At that point, the BMS locks out to prevent thermal damage, and the phone will not respond to a normal charge attempt. Connect the B10 to a wall charger — not a USB hub — and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS lockout threshold, after which normal charging resumes. If the phone still shows no charge indicator after 40 minutes, the cell has likely dropped below recoverable voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my CAT B10 show a different battery percentage after I put in the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the B10 builds its percentage readings from a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell has a slightly different impedance and voltage profile, so the stored curve produces inaccurate percentage readings until it is reset. Run one complete discharge — use the phone normally until it shuts down on its own — then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and percentage accuracy stabilises.

The CAT B10 shuts off suddenly when I make a call, even with 25% showing — why?

This is a voltage cliff failure. When the modem transmits, it draws a short current spike that sags the cell voltage. On a replacement cell the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet mapped, that sag reads as a critically low-voltage event and triggers shutdown — even though the cell is not empty. The fix is one full discharge-charge calibration cycle. After recalibration, the fuel gauge tracks the new cell's actual voltage curve and stops triggering false low-voltage cutoffs under modem load.

My CAT B10 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges with the new cell — is that normal?

A new high-impedance Li-ion cell converts more charging energy to heat than a broken-in cell does. On the first two or three cycles, the charge IC on the B10 is pushing current into a cell with slightly higher internal resistance, which generates more heat than you'd notice on a worn original battery. Keep the phone out of its case during those first cycles and charge on a hard flat surface. By the third full charge cycle, internal resistance drops and the warmth normalises — if it does not, check that the replacement cell's dimensions sit flush and the connector is fully seated.
