Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Clevo MobiNote M660 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Clevo MobiNote M660, M661, M665, and M660JE notebooks. It fits the full M660 series that shares this battery bay format and connector pinout. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or fails to power the system at all.
- M660 series compatibility: The M660, M661, M665, and M660JE share the same battery bay dimensions, connector layout, and BMS communication protocol. One cell fits all four without modification or adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on M660-class hardware. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge accepted cleanly to 4.2V per cell, and the protection circuit tripped normally at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Post-install calibration on the M660: After fitting this cell, run the notebook down to automatic hibernate, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before resuming normal use. This forces the BIOS to complete its battery learn cycle against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting the new cell
The M660 BIOS reads health data stored in the cell's EEPROM. When a new cell arrives, that EEPROM holds factory default values that do not match the BIOS's learned parameters from the old battery. The firmware flags this mismatch as degraded health rather than recognising it as a new cell. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% lets the BIOS rewrite its learned data against the new cell and clear the warning.
Notebook shuts down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under combined CPU and display load, even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The fuel gauge IC calibrates against the old cell's discharge curve, so its percentage estimate becomes inaccurate with a new cell. The BMS cuts power at the actual low-voltage threshold — around 9V pack voltage — regardless of what the gauge displays. Two to three full calibration cycles bring the fuel gauge IC back into alignment with the new cell's actual discharge curve.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Clevo M660 shows "0% available (plugged in, charging)" on the new battery — what's wrong?
The fuel gauge IC is reading EEPROM data from the old cell and cannot map it to the new one, so it reports 0% until it completes a calibration cycle. Unplug the charger and run the notebook down until it hibernates automatically, then plug in and charge uninterrupted to 100%. Repeat this once more and the fuel gauge will recalibrate against the new cell's actual capacity. After two cycles the percentage readout should track correctly.
The M660 BIOS shows the replacement battery's Wh rating as lower than the spec — is the cell undersized?
The Wh figure the BIOS displays comes from the EEPROM embedded in the cell, not from a live measurement. Factory EEPROM values on replacement cells sometimes differ slightly from the rated 48.84Wh because the stored value reflects cell chemistry tolerances rather than a miscounted capacity. This is a data field difference, not a physical capacity shortfall. Run one full learn cycle — discharge to hibernate, charge to 100% uninterrupted — and the BIOS will overwrite its stored value with measured data from the actual cell.
The M660 charges the new cell only up to 80% then stops — is the battery faulty?
Most M660-series notebooks include a BIOS-controlled charge limit that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during extended AC use. This is firmware behaviour, not a fault with the replacement cell. Check the BIOS power settings under the battery or charging section and disable the charge limit if you need full capacity. Once disabled, the cell will charge to 100% on the next cycle.
