Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Collomix Xo 10 NC / PRO HT Winkelschleifer — 18V Li-ion 6.0Ah Replacement Battery

This is an 18V, 6000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Collomix Xo 10 NC cordless mortar mixer and the PRO HT Winkelschleifer. Both tools run on the same 18V rail and share the same battery footprint and connector. Capacity is sourced from product data at 6000mAh (108Wh).

  • Xo 10 NC and PRO HT compatibility: Both tools share the same 18V battery platform, connector pin layout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping packs between them requires no adapters — the communication line reads the same cell data on both platforms.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through repeated high-torque mixing cycles on the Xo 10 NC. The BMS handled motor-start inrush current without tripping, and cell temperatures stayed within safe limits across sustained load cycles.
  • Motor inrush break-in on first use: On first use, run the Xo 10 NC at half-load mixing for two cycles before full-torque applications. This allows the BMS to profile the motor's inrush current draw and calibrate overcurrent protection thresholds before you hit dense mortar or adhesive compounds.

BMS overcurrent trip on motor-start inrush during mixing

The Xo 10 NC draws a significant current spike the moment the motor starts under load — especially in thick tile adhesive or concrete grout. If the BMS has not yet profiled that inrush pattern, it can trip the overcurrent threshold and cut power instantly. This looks like the mixer dying on trigger pull rather than running weak. Starting each session with a half-load first mix gives the BMS a reference reading before the pack sees full motor demand.

Pack voltage too low for charger acceptance after storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If a pack sits unused long enough, cell voltage drops below the threshold the charger checks before it starts a charge cycle — typically around 2.5V per cell. The charger sees voltage below its acceptance floor and refuses to begin, often blinking red or showing no charge activity at all. To recover the pack, check cell voltage with a multimeter; if individual cells read above 2.0V, a compatible charger with a recovery or wake-up mode can bring them back to the 2.5V floor before normal charging begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Xo 10 NC cuts out the instant I pull the trigger on thick adhesive — why does it keep shutting off?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty battery. The motor pulls a sharp current spike on start-up, and if the BMS hasn't seen that inrush pattern yet, it cuts power before the mixer gets moving. Run the tool twice at half-load — mixing water or a thin slurry — so the BMS can log the inrush draw. After that, full-torque starts on dense compounds should hold without tripping.

The mixer runs but bogs down and loses power halfway through a bucket of grout — what's causing that?

That's voltage sag under sustained load. As cell temperature rises during extended mixing, internal resistance increases and the pack voltage drops — the motor gets less voltage and torques out earlier. Check the battery contact rails on both the pack and the tool for debris or corrosion; high contact resistance makes sag worse. Let the pack cool for 10 minutes between heavy buckets, and check that the rail contacts wipe clean and seat fully when the pack clicks in.

The battery worked fine in summer but the Xo 10 NC feels half-dead on cold mornings — is the pack faulty?

It's not faulty — Li-ion internal resistance rises sharply below 5°C, which reduces the current the pack can deliver to the motor. The effect is more noticeable on the Xo 10 NC because mixing cold adhesive also increases mechanical load at the same time. Store the battery indoors overnight and fit it to the tool just before use. If cell temperature is above 10°C when you start, performance returns to normal output.
