Fits Ascom COMfortel M-200, M-210, M-310 cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM battery.
3.7V lithium-ion at 950mAh delivers sustained talk time across full charge cycles on DECT phones.
Connector is a two-pin proprietary slot; battery slides straight down into handset housing with no locking tab.
We bench-tested the cell on a COMfortel M-200 base charger—BMS accepted charge cycle without fault indication.
After installation, seat the handset fully in the base cradle for 16 hours before first call; Li-ion cells in DECT handsets need stable voltage recognition from the base charging circuit.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

COMfortel M-200 / M-210 / M-310 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 950mAh Li-ion battery replaces the internal pack in COMfortel M-200, M-210, and M-310 cordless DECT handsets. It restores power to handsets where the original cell has aged past usable capacity. Dimensions are 51.54 × 32.75 × 8.30mm — measure your existing pack before ordering if unsure.

  • M-200 / M-210 / M-310 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions and 3.7V single-cell Li-ion power rail. The connector orientation and BMS communication protocol are consistent across the series, so one pack covers all three handsets.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a calibrated rig. The BMS held cutoff voltage correctly at both ends — no premature shutdown, no overcharge flag triggered during the test sequence.
  • First-charge protocol for Li-ion DECT handsets: Seat the handset in the base immediately after fitting the new battery and leave it for a full uninterrupted charge cycle. Li-ion cells shipped at partial state of charge need one complete base-station charge before the BMS accurately tracks remaining capacity.

Talk time shorter than expected on the M-200 after a battery swap

A freshly installed Li-ion pack often shows shorter talk time for the first two to three charge cycles. This happens because the BMS ships the cell at roughly 40–60% state of charge for storage safety, and its internal capacity register hasn't been calibrated to the new cell yet. Run two full charge-discharge cycles through normal use and the BMS will re-anchor its capacity estimate. After that, rated capacity figures should be consistent.

Handset not pairing with base station after battery replacement

Removing the original battery on a DECT handset cuts all power to the radio module, which can clear the stored pairing record on some M-200 units. The base station and handset both hold pairing credentials, and a full power loss on the handset side forces a re-registration. Re-pair by pressing and holding the registration button on the base until the handset prompts for a PIN — default is typically 0000. Check the M-200 manual for the exact registration sequence if the handset doesn't prompt automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

My COMfortel M-200 handset shows full charge but cuts out after a short call — is the new battery faulty?

This is a BMS calibration gap, not a faulty cell. The battery management system shipped the pack at partial charge and hasn't yet mapped the full capacity curve of the new cell. Run two complete charge cycles — charge to full in the base, use until the low-battery indicator triggers, then charge again fully. After those cycles, the BMS calibrates correctly and the cutoff behaviour stabilises.

The base station isn't showing a charge light after I fitted the replacement battery — what's wrong?

Li-ion cells stored for extended periods can drop below the base station's charge-acceptance threshold, typically around 3.0V per cell. The base sees the pack as too low to begin a standard charge cycle and shows no activity. Place the handset in the base and leave it for at least 30 minutes without removing it — most base stations will trickle-charge a low pack back above the acceptance threshold before switching to a normal charge rate.

The M-200 handset loses signal at the far end of a room after the battery swap — it didn't do this before.

DECT transmit power is managed by the handset firmware, and when battery voltage sags under RF load the radio module drops output power to protect the cell. This usually points to a BMS that hasn't finished calibrating, or the handset is operating on its first cycle with the new pack. Complete two full charge-discharge cycles and check that the battery contact pins inside the handset bay are clean and making firm contact — oxidised or bent pins cause voltage drop under the transmit surge that a standby reading won't reveal.
