Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Concept VR2010 / VR2000 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PNC423894511)
This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion battery for the Concept VR2010 and VR2000 cordless vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part PNC423894511 and restores power to the vacuum's motor and suction system. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge.
- VR2010 and VR2000 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V battery rail, use the same connector housing, and share the same BMS handshake protocol — so one replacement covers either unit without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a VR2010 unit. The BMS accepted the handshake from the charger without fault codes, and overcurrent protection tripped correctly when we simulated a blocked-airflow draw spike.
- Dock charging on the VR2010: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously. These cells develop measurable capacity fade when held at full charge on trickle current for days at a stretch. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The VR2010 motor draws harder when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces sustained high current that the BMS reads as a voltage sag event. The battery indicator tracks cell voltage, not motor load, so it can still show mid-range while suction has already weakened. Clean or replace the filter first before concluding the battery is at fault. A clear airway lets the motor operate within its rated draw and keeps cell voltage stable throughout the charge cycle.
Motor cutting out and then recovering on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a cell failure. When the vacuum hits a blockage or runs with a clogged filter, current spikes above the BMS threshold and the battery disconnects the output circuit to protect the cells. After a few seconds the BMS resets and the motor restarts. Check the filter, nozzle, and internal airpath for blockages. Once airflow is clear, the current draw stays within limits and the cutout stops.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Concept VR2010 loses suction strength well before the battery light goes red — is the battery already dying?
Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage sag at the cell before the indicator registers low. Clean the filter and check the nozzle for obstructions first. If suction stays weak with a clear airpath, put the battery on charge and test again — if capacity has genuinely dropped, the indicator will hit low much sooner than expected after a full charge.
The vacuum motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds, then restarts on its own — what's triggering that?
That's the BMS tripping an overcurrent cutoff, not a faulty cell. When airflow is restricted — clogged filter, blocked nozzle, hair wrapped around the brush roll — current spikes past the BMS threshold and it disconnects the output to protect the cells. Clear every blockage in the airpath, then run the vacuum again. If the cutout stops, the cell is fine and the filter was the cause.
I've been leaving the VR2010 on the dock overnight every night — could that have damaged the original battery capacity?
Yes. Cordless vacuums held on continuous dock charge sit at full voltage on low trickle current for hours at a time, and that accelerates lithium-ion capacity fade significantly. The replacement cell will have the same problem if you leave it docked permanently. Charge to full and remove the vacuum from the dock — recharge only when the battery is depleted.
