Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Conga Rockstar 6500 Century Ergowet — 28.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 28.8V, 2500mAh (72Wh) lithium-ion battery pack for the Conga Rockstar 6500 Century Ergowet and Rockstar 29600 robotic vacuum. It slots into the same bay as the original and works with the stock charging dock. Capacity comes from the product specification — not estimated from web sources.
- Rockstar 6500 and 29600 platform: These models share the same 28.8V cell architecture, dock connector, and BMS communication protocol. One battery fits both without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the Rockstar 6500 platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the dock charger, and overcurrent protection tripped as expected when suction was deliberately restricted at the nozzle.
- Dock charging behaviour on this vacuum: Do not leave the Rockstar 6500 sitting on its dock permanently. The dock does not stop delivering charge once the battery is full — continuous trickle current accelerates cell degradation. Charge to full, then remove the robot from the dock until the next scheduled clean.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The Rockstar 6500's motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked or the brush roll is tangled. That extra draw pulls cell voltage down faster than normal, and the BMS reads the sag as a low-charge condition before the actual state of charge warrants it. The vacuum then reduces motor speed to protect the cells — which the user experiences as lost suction. Clean the filter and clear the brush roll first. If suction holds steady after that, the battery was not the cause.
Robot cuts out mid-clean and restarts on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a battery failure. When the Rockstar 6500 encounters a blocked nozzle or dense carpet, motor current spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts off to protect the cells. The BMS resets after a short thermal delay, which is why the robot recovers and continues. Check the intake port and side brushes for debris. If the cutout happens only on carpet and not on hard floors, the issue is suction restriction — not cell capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Conga Rockstar 6500 keeps stopping mid-clean and then starting again on its own — is this the battery?
This is almost always a BMS overcurrent trip rather than a failing cell. When the motor pulls more current than the BMS threshold allows — typically because the filter is clogged or the intake is partially blocked — the pack cuts out and resets after a short delay. Clean the filter, clear the brush roll, and check the intake port. If the cutout stops happening after that, the battery was not the cause.
The replacement battery charged fully but the vacuum's suction is noticeably weaker than it used to be — what causes that?
A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, which pulls cell voltage down faster and causes the BMS to throttle motor speed earlier in the discharge cycle. The result looks like weak suction but is actually the vacuum protecting the cells from sustained overcurrent. Remove, rinse, and fully dry the filter before assuming the replacement pack has a capacity problem. Suction should recover once airflow resistance is back to normal.
The Conga Rockstar 6500 seemed fine for a few months but now barely completes one room — is this from leaving it on the dock?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade on this robot. The Rockstar 6500 dock does not cut trickle current when the battery is full, so cells sitting at 100% under sustained low current degrade faster than cells that are charged and then rested off the dock. Remove the robot from the dock once the charge indicator shows full. Storing the battery between 40–80% state of charge between longer gaps will slow further degradation.
