Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dibea F20 Max / F20 Pro — 28.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (T-DC49L-SAM)
This is a 28.8V Li-ion replacement battery rated at 2500mAh (72Wh), built to fit the Dibea F20 Max and F20 Pro cordless stick vacuums. It slots into the same battery bay as the original and connects to the same BMS handshake the vacuum's motor controller expects. Use it when the original cell no longer holds charge or suction performance has dropped noticeably.
- F20 Max and F20 Pro compatibility: Both models run the same 28.8V motor rail and use the same battery housing geometry and BMS communication protocol. One replacement covers either unit without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the F20 platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the vacuum's motor controller — no false low-battery cutoffs and no charging faults on the stock Dibea charger.
- Dock charging habit on the F20 Max: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously between uses. Cordless vacuums held at full charge on a live dock develop capacity fade faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low
This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than its rated load. The battery voltage dips under that sustained high draw, and the motor controller responds by reducing power before the fuel gauge registers a low-battery state. The battery itself is not failing — the motor is being starved by restricted airflow. Clean or replace the filter first and retest suction under normal load.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, blocked brush roll, or a tight carpet pile — the motor pulls sustained high current. The BMS registers an overcurrent condition and cuts output to protect the cells. After a short pause the BMS resets and the vacuum powers back on normally. Clear whatever is restricting airflow, then fully charge the battery before the next run to reset the BMS state cleanly.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Dibea F20 Max has noticeably less suction even with a fully charged battery — why?
A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than its rated load, which causes voltage sag at the battery terminals even when the cell is fully charged. The result is reduced motor speed and weaker suction — nothing to do with the battery's capacity. Remove, clean, and dry the filter completely, then retest. If suction restores, the battery was never the problem.
The F20 Max motor cuts out for a few seconds and then comes back on by itself — is the battery faulty?
That behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty cell. When the brush roll is tangled or the filter is blocked, current draw spikes beyond the BMS protection threshold and it shuts the output briefly to protect the cells. Clear the blockage and the trips stop. If it persists on a clean filter with a clear brush roll, fully charge the battery to 29.4V before the next use and retest — a trip on a depleted cell is more likely than a defective one.
The original Dibea battery held a full charge for weeks on the shelf — this replacement drains faster sitting unused. Is that normal?
Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage, and a new cell that has not yet been fully cycled can show a slightly higher self-discharge rate until the chemistry stabilises. Run two or three full charge and discharge cycles on the vacuum under normal use. Self-discharge during storage should settle to around 2–3% per month after that. If the cell still drops more than 20% capacity per week at rest, that points to a cell-level fault — verify the resting voltage reads at or above 25.2V after a full charge.
