Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Coolpad 5315 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CPLD-129)
This is a 3.7V, 2500mAh Li-ion cell built to replace the original CPLD-129 battery in the Coolpad 5315 smartphone. It fits the 5315 directly — same connector, same footprint at 80.00 × 65.00 × 4.30mm. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds charge or shuts the phone down unexpectedly.
- Coolpad 5315 fitment: The 5315 uses a dedicated connector and BMS handshake tied to the CPLD-129 cell spec. This replacement matches the 3.7V nominal rail and pin configuration so the charge IC accepts the cell without flagging an incompatible battery warning.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the 5315 platform. The BMS accepted the cell, charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage, and the coulomb counter tracked state-of-charge without error flags through multiple cycles.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: After installing this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on the 5315 is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one slow cycle lets it remap against the new cell before high-current charging is applied.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Coolpad 5315
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem's minimum operating threshold under load, even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. Aged cells develop high internal impedance — voltage sags sharply when the radio transmits or the screen peaks, tripping the protection circuit before the gauge catches up. A new CPLD-129 cell with lower impedance sustains voltage through those load spikes. After installation, confirm the phone stays on past 15% under a call or screen-on session — that confirms the voltage floor is holding.
Phone shows wrong percentage after cell replacement
The fuel gauge IC on the 5315 stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. After a cell swap, it maps the new cell's voltage against that old curve, so percentage readings jump or read high until the IC relearns. Run one complete discharge — down to auto-shutdown — followed by a full uninterrupted charge at standard rate. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to reanchor its 0% and 100% endpoints. After that cycle, percentage tracking stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Coolpad 5315 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out the cell after voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release the lockout. If the charging LED or screen doesn't respond after 30 minutes, disconnect and reconnect the battery connector to reset the protection circuit.
Fast charging stopped working on my 5315 after I installed the new battery — it only charges slowly now.
The USB charging protocol negotiation on the 5315 can fail on the first cycle with a new BMS, defaulting to standard 5V charging instead of the faster rate. Let the phone complete one full charge at the slow rate without interrupting it. On the second charge cycle, the charge IC re-negotiates the protocol with the now-initialised BMS and fast charging resumes. If it still doesn't engage after two full cycles, clear the battery stats in recovery mode and try again.
The Coolpad 5315 feels warm near the battery area for the first 10–15 minutes of charging with the new cell — is that normal?
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during initial charging than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC pushes current into a cell that hasn't yet settled its internal resistance, so surface warmth in the first few sessions is expected. It should reduce noticeably after three to four full charge cycles as internal impedance drops. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — or the charging LED cuts out early, stop charging and check that the battery connector is fully seated.
