Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Custom Battery Packs 2ICP/65/30/30 1S2P — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh (4.44Wh) lithium-polymer replacement pack built to the 2ICP/65/30/30 1S2P specification. It fits compact portable electronics that require a single-cell 1S2P configuration in a 30.80 × 30.00 × 13.50 mm footprint. If your device's original pack has degraded or failed, this replacement restores full operating voltage without replacing the device.

  • 1S2P cell configuration: Two cells in parallel share a single voltage rail at 3.7V nominal. This doubles capacity over a single cell while keeping the voltage output identical — the host device's charge IC and BMS treat it as one cell. Connector pinout and pack dimensions must match the original exactly for the BMS to accept the swap.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge on the bench using a cell analyser. The BMS tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff and accepted a full charge cycle without thermal event. Measured capacity came within 4% of the rated 1200mAh after the first conditioning cycle.
  • Fuel gauge calibration after swap: If your device has an integrated fuel gauge or capacity indicator, it will read inaccurately after fitting a new pack. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle immediately after installation so the gauge firmware can map its readings against the new cells. Skip this and the indicator will drift throughout the pack's service life.

Pack running at lower voltage than rated on first use

Li-polymer packs ship at storage voltage — typically 3.6V to 3.85V — not at full 4.2V charge. The device may report low battery or reduced output the moment you install it. This is not a defect. Charge the pack fully before first use and the voltage will rise to the rated 3.7V nominal operating range. Most devices will not trigger their low-battery warning again once the first charge completes.

Pack not reaching full charge on first cycle

On the first charge, many host device charge ICs apply a reduced current to new or previously deep-discharged cells. This is a pre-conditioning phase — the charge cycle takes longer and may appear to stall below 100%. This clears automatically after the first full charge-discharge cycle. If the pack still will not reach full charge after two cycles, measure the pack voltage at the connector; it should reach 4.15V to 4.20V at end of charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My device won't recognise the new pack after I fitted it — powers on for a second then shuts off. What's happening?

The host device is likely running a voltage range check or BMS handshake before it allows operation. If the pack arrived at storage voltage, the device may be reading it as out-of-spec and rejecting it. Charge the pack fully via the device or an OEM-compatible charger, then power cycle the device. Once the pack voltage is at 4.1V or above, the device should accept it and run normally.

The pack gets warm during the first charge — is that a fault?

Warmth during the first charge is normal for a lithium-polymer pack going through its initial conditioning cycle. The charge IC draws slightly higher current on the first pass as it characterises the new cells. If the pack becomes hot to the touch or swells at any point, stop charging immediately and remove it. Warm — around 35–40°C — is expected. Hot is not.

After fitting the pack, the device's battery indicator shows a different capacity than expected and keeps jumping around. Why?

The fuel gauge in the device stored calibration data mapped to the old, degraded cells. With new cells installed, those reference points no longer match, so the readout behaves erratically. Run one full charge from empty to 100%, then discharge to the device's auto-shutoff point without interrupting. After that single cycle, the gauge firmware recalibrates against the new cells and the indicator stabilises.
