Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dejavoo Q3 / WIZARPOS Q3 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (WHB03-3000)
This 3.8V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the original WHB03-3000 cell in the Dejavoo Q3 and WIZARPOS Q3 mobile payment terminals. Both terminals run the same battery platform — same connector, same BMS handshake protocol, same form factor at 58.40 × 47.20 × 7.10mm. Swap in this cell and the terminal restores full power to its display, receipt printer, and wireless stack.
- Q3 and WIZARPOS Q3 platform compatibility: Both devices share an identical battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication line. The WHB03-3000 part number covers both variants — no adapter or wiring change needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full boot sequences and receipt-print events on the Q3 platform. The BMS negotiated correctly on first power-on, with no overcurrent trips across repeated print-and-tap transaction sequences.
- First deployment tip: After installation, run one complete transaction cycle — including a receipt print — before putting the terminal into live service. The Q3 maps battery capacity during normal operation, and the charge indicator will read inaccurately until that first full charge-discharge cycle completes.
Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap
The Q3's receipt printer draws a sharp current spike the moment it fires — often 1.5A or more for under a second. On a new cell that has not yet completed a conditioning cycle, the BMS may read that spike as an overcurrent event and cut power to protect the cell. This trips the terminal mid-transaction, which looks like a random reboot but is actually a BMS protection event. Run two or three print cycles off-peak first, let the BMS log normal draw patterns, and the trips stop.
Terminal not completing PCI boot sequence on first power-on
The Q3 runs a PCI-compliant boot check that includes a battery state read before the OS fully loads. A new cell that has not yet been through a charge cycle can present a state-of-charge reading the terminal flags as ambiguous, stalling the boot sequence at the splash screen. Connect the terminal to its charger, let it reach a full charge, then power on — the BMS handshake completes correctly once the cell registers above 4.1V on the charge IC.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Dejavoo Q3 battery indicator is stuck at 99% and won't move after a full charge — is the battery faulty?
It is not faulty. New lithium-polymer cells arrive partially charged, and the Q3's charge IC enters a top-off mode on the first charge cycle rather than a full recalibration pass. The fuel gauge stays pinned at 99% until the terminal completes one full discharge-and-recharge cycle. Run the terminal through normal use until it prompts a low-battery warning, then charge it fully — the indicator will track correctly from that point.
The Q3 won't power on at all after sitting unused in a drawer for a few months — did the new battery arrive dead?
Most likely the original battery self-discharged below the BMS recovery threshold during storage, and the new battery hasn't been charged yet. Connect the terminal to its OEM charger for at least 20 minutes before pressing the power button — a deeply discharged lithium-polymer cell needs a trickle pre-charge phase before the BMS will allow a boot. If the charge LED does not illuminate within two minutes of plugging in, try a different cable, as the Q3's charge port contacts are a common failure point separate from the battery.
The Q3 gets noticeably warm during a busy sales period — is that a battery problem or something else?
Warmth during heavy use is normal on the Q3 because the display, wireless radio, and receipt printer are all drawing from the same 3.8V cell simultaneously. The battery surface temperature should stay below roughly 40°C during normal operation. If the terminal feels hot to the touch and starts throttling transaction speed, check that the receipt paper roll is not jammed — a stalled printer motor draws sustained current rather than the brief spike of a clean print, which significantly increases combined thermal load on the battery.
