Dell Command | Power Manager is showing 91Wh but Windows reports a different Wh value — which is correct?

The EEPROM on the battery's BMS board stores a rated Wh figure based on the cell chemistry specification, while Windows calculates Wh dynamically from measured voltage and current draw. Small differences between the two figures are normal and do not indicate a fault. The authoritative capacity for this cell is 91.76Wh as rated. The replacement battery stops charging at 80% and won't go higher — is the cell defective?

Not a cell fault. Dell's BIOS includes a firmware-controlled charge limit that caps charging at 80% when "primarily AC" mode is active in Dell Power Manager or Alienware Command Center. Open Alienware Command Center, navigate to the power settings, and switch the battery charge mode from "Primarily AC" to "Standard" or "Full Charge." The cell will then charge to 100%.
