Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo IdeaPad Xiaoxin 700 / 700-15ISK — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (L14M3P24)
This is an 11.1V, 4050mAh (44.96Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Lenovo IdeaPad Xiaoxin 700 and IdeaPad 700 series laptops. It covers the 700-15ISK and 700-17ISK variants and cross-references OEM part numbers L14M3P24, L14S3P24, L16M3P24, L16S3P24, and associated Lenovo FRU codes. The cell fits the original battery bay and connects to the same BMS communication bus the IdeaPad 700 motherboard expects.
- IdeaPad 700 / Xiaoxin 700 platform fitment: The 700-15ISK and 700-17ISK share the same 11.1V three-cell battery architecture and identical connector pinout. The BMS on both models reads cell voltage and temperature data across the same communication line, so one cell covers the full mechanical and electrical range of this platform.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on an IdeaPad 700 motherboard. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, charge acceptance was clean from 0V recovery through to the 12.6V full-charge cutoff, and the protection circuit responded correctly to over-current events during sustained CPU and display load.
- BIOS learn cycle after installation: After fitting this cell, run a full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before unplugging. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears in Lenovo Vantage after every cell swap — it is a firmware artefact, not a fault with the replacement cell.
Why the IdeaPad 700 shuts down at 20–30% charge remaining
When the IdeaPad 700 is running a sustained CPU workload with the display at full brightness, current draw spikes well above the baseline idle figure. If the cell's internal resistance is elevated — either from age or from the fuel gauge IC still calibrating against the new cell — the cell voltage sags below the BMS protection threshold under that load spike. The board reads this as an imminent over-discharge event and forces an immediate shutdown, even though the fuel gauge still shows 20–30% remaining. The fix is two full calibration cycles: discharge to hibernate cutoff under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After the second cycle, the fuel gauge IC has enough data on the new cell's discharge curve to stop confusing load-induced sag with genuine low charge.
Lenovo Vantage reporting wrong Wh rating after battery swap
Lenovo Vantage reads battery capacity from EEPROM data embedded in the battery's BMS, not by measuring the cell directly. When a replacement cell ships, the EEPROM stores the rated chemistry figure, which can differ slightly from what the old cell had written after years of firmware updates and capacity fade tracking. This mismatch causes Vantage to display an unexpected Wh value — often lower than the label — immediately after installation. No reconfiguration is needed. After one full charge and discharge cycle, the BMS writes updated capacity data to EEPROM and Vantage corrects the figure on the next system refresh.

Frequently Asked Questions
Lenovo Vantage says the battery health is "poor" straight after I fitted the new cell — is it faulty?
It is not faulty. Lenovo Vantage reads health status from EEPROM data stored on the battery's BMS chip, and a freshly installed cell carries factory-default values that the Vantage algorithm flags as degraded until it has real cycle data to work with. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. Vantage recalculates health after that cycle and the warning clears.
The fuel gauge is jumping around — showing 60%, then 80%, then back to 45% within minutes of unplugging. What is happening?
The fuel gauge IC inside the IdeaPad 700 calibrates itself against the discharge curve of whichever cell is installed. After a swap, it has no data on the new cell's curve, so it interpolates badly and the percentage reading swings wildly. We saw the same behaviour on the bench for the first two cycles. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate-cutoff and full-charge sequences under normal use, and the IC locks onto the new curve. Readings stabilise by the third cycle.
The replacement battery stops charging at 80% and will not go higher — is the charge circuit limiting it?
Yes, but it is a Lenovo firmware setting, not a fault with the cell. The IdeaPad 700 BIOS includes a charge threshold control — often enabled by default or previously set by the user in Lenovo Vantage under "Battery Charge Threshold." Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Device → Power, and check whether "Conservation Mode" or a custom upper limit is active. Set the upper threshold to 100% and plug the laptop
