Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Toshiba Click 2 Pro / Satellite P35W Series — 11.1V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PA5190U-1BRS)
This is an 11.1V, 3500mAh (38.85Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Toshiba Click 2 Pro convertible and the Satellite P35W and P35W-B3226 notebooks. It uses OEM part number PA5190U-1BRS and slots into the same bay as the original cell. Voltage and connector match the factory specification exactly.
- Click 2 Pro and P35W platform fit: These three models share the same battery bay dimensions, 11.1V power rail, and BMS handshake protocol. The PA5190U-1BRS connector and cell configuration are identical across the Click 2 Pro, P35W, and P35W-B3226 — no adapter or modification needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the P35W platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge current ramped normally through CC/CV phases, and the protection circuit triggered cleanly at low-voltage cutoff.
- Post-install recalibration on the Click 2 Pro: After fitting this battery, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff under normal load, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS through one full learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after any cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting the PA5190U-1BRS
When you swap the cell, the BIOS still holds EEPROM data from the old battery — cycle count, wear level, and capacity estimates all carried over from the dead pack. The new cell hasn't yet fed the fuel gauge IC enough charge and discharge data to overwrite those values. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one complete discharge to hibernate cutoff followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the BIOS learn cycle will update its health reading against the actual new cell.
Click 2 Pro shutting down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown on screen
The on-screen percentage comes from the fuel gauge IC, which calibrates over several cycles after a cell swap. If the IC still maps old capacity curves to the new cell, it will report 20–30% while the actual cell voltage has already dropped to the BMS cutoff threshold. Under combined CPU and display load on the P35W chassis, the voltage drop is steeper and faster — the BMS trips before the gauge catches up. After two to three full discharge-and-charge cycles, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell and the premature shutdown stops. Check battery voltage in HWiNFO64 — it should read above 10.8V at the 20% mark once calibration is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Click 2 Pro shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, charging)" and it stays there — what's happening?
The BIOS is reading EEPROM data from the old cell and hasn't yet established a baseline with the new one. This is common on the P35W platform after any cell swap. Leave it plugged in until the charge LED goes solid, then discharge fully to hibernate cutoff in one session. After that cycle, the BIOS resets its fuel gauge mapping and the percentage display returns to normal.
Windows reports the PA5190U-1BRS as 28Wh but the spec is 38.85Wh — is the cell underrated?
The Wh figure Windows pulls comes from EEPROM data stored in the battery controller, not from measuring the actual cell chemistry. The old cell's rated or degraded capacity gets written to that register and doesn't automatically update when a new cell is fitted. After one full discharge-to-hibernate and a complete recharge, the controller recalculates against the live cell and the Wh reading in Windows corrects to the actual 38.85Wh value.
The replacement battery charges to 80% then stops — the Click 2 Pro won't push it past that threshold.
Toshiba's BIOS on the P35W and Click 2 Pro series includes a charge limit mode that caps at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. Check Toshiba System Settings or Toshiba eco Utility in the Start menu — there is a battery charge mode selector there. Switch it from "Eco Charge Mode" to "Maximum Capacity" mode and the charge ceiling moves back to 100%.
