This is a 7.6V, 3400mAh (25.84Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Dell Inspiron 11 3195 2-in-1 convertible laptop. It replaces OEM part numbers 0020K1, MJMVV, and NXX33. If your original cell no longer holds a charge or fails to register in Windows, this is the direct replacement.

  • Inspiron 11 3195 2-in-1 fit: This model uses a flat Li-Polymer pack with a specific 5.80mm profile to clear the hinge hardware in both laptop and tablet orientations. The BMS handshake is keyed to the 7.6V two-cell series configuration — swapping in a different voltage pack will trip a BIOS block on first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the 3195 platform. The BMS communicated correctly via SMBus, charge current tapered as expected near capacity, and the Windows battery meter registered Wh rating without error flags.

Dell's BIOS stores battery health data from the previous cell in non-volatile memory. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is stale EEPROM data from the original pack. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by an uninterrupted full charge, and the BIOS battery learn cycle will overwrite the old data with values from the new cell.

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated to the new cell's discharge curve. The meter shows 20–30% remaining, but the cell voltage has already dropped below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 6.0V under combined CPU and display load. The gauge is reporting a percentage mapped to the old cell's curve, not the new one. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and full recharge cycles to let the IC re-map the curve accurately.

Dell Power Manager says my new battery is "unknown" or shows 0% — why won't it read the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC needs at least one full cycle to handshake with the new cell's EEPROM data. Until that happens, Dell Power Manager can show "unknown," 0%, or a missing Wh rating. Run the laptop from 100% down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted back to 100%. After that cycle, the gauge IC locks onto the new cell and the reading normalises.

My Inspiron 11 3195 stops charging at 80% and won't go higher — is the replacement cell faulty?

This is almost always a BIOS charge limit setting, not a cell fault. Dell's firmware includes a charge threshold feature that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress — it is enabled by default on some units and survives a battery swap. Open Dell Power Manager, go to Battery Settings, and set the charge limit to 100%. The cell will then charge to full capacity.

Windows shows the wrong Wh rating for the new battery — it says 41Wh but this cell is 25.84Wh

The Wh figure Windows displays is pulled from the cell's EEPROM, which stores the manufacturer's rated design capacity. If the previous cell had a higher-rated Wh value, Windows may cache that figure until the fuel gauge IC fully re-learns the new cell. Run two full discharge-to-100% cycles and the reported value will update to reflect the actual 25.84Wh capacity of this cell.
