Fits Dirt Devil Libero M606, M606-1, M606-2, M606-3 and related models; replaces OEM part 0607004 and 0612014.
Voltage 14.4V and capacity 1800mAh deliver consistent motor power across carpet and hard floor cleaning cycles.
Connector slides into the battery slot with the locking tab engaged; orientation is marked on housing.
We bench-tested this cell in the M606 dock; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without fault codes.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — Ni-MH packs on trickle charge develop capacity fade within weeks; charge to full and remove from dock immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dirt Devil Libero M606 Series — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (0607004)

This is a 14.4V 1800mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Dirt Devil Libero M606, M606-1, M606-2, and M606-3 cordless stick vacuums, plus three additional Libero variants. It replaces OEM part numbers 0607004 and 0612014. The pack dimensions are 101.50 × 43.75 × 29.60mm and it delivers 25.92Wh of stored energy.

  • Libero M606 series fit: All M606 variants share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector format, and BMS handshake. One pack covers the full range. No pinout differences between M606-1, M606-2, and M606-3.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated suction loads on the M606 motor. The BMS held voltage above the cutoff threshold under sustained carpet-level draw, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly when current exceeded safe limits before resetting without fault codes.
  • Dock charge discipline for Ni-MH cells: Remove the vacuum from the charging dock once the pack reaches full charge. Ni-MH chemistry is especially vulnerable to continuous trickle current — cells left permanently docked lose usable capacity within weeks, not months.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The M606 motor draws higher current when airflow is restricted — a partially clogged filter forces the motor to work harder to maintain suction. That extra draw pulls the battery voltage down faster than the indicator accounts for. The BMS reads a low-voltage condition and reduces power output before the indicator LED changes. Clean or replace the filter first — voltage sag under load will stabilise once airflow restriction is removed.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering on its own

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage — hair wrap around the brush roll or a clogged filter — current spikes past the BMS protection threshold and the pack shuts output. After a short thermal recovery period the BMS resets and the motor runs again. Clear the blockage, check the filter, and test with open airflow. If the cutout stops, the battery is fine — the restriction was the trigger.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Dirt Devil M606 has noticeably less suction than it used to, but the battery indicator still shows charged — what's happening?

A restricted filter forces the M606 motor to draw more current than rated, which drags down cell voltage faster than the indicator tracks. The vacuum loses suction pressure even though the pack hasn't fully discharged. Clean the filter first — if suction returns to normal, the battery is not the problem. If suction stays weak after a clean filter, the pack has developed capacity fade and needs replacing.

I left my Libero M606 on the dock for a few weeks and now it barely runs — did the charger damage it?

Ni-MH cells are sensitive to continuous trickle current. Leaving the vacuum permanently docked pushes a low-level charge into already-full cells, which degrades the active material and permanently reduces capacity. The damage accumulates faster than with Li-ion chemistry. Going forward, charge the pack fully and remove the vacuum from the dock — do not use the dock as a storage cradle.

The M606 won't charge at all with the new replacement battery — the charger light never comes on. Is the battery faulty?

The Dirt Devil charger checks for a minimum cell voltage before it starts a charge cycle. If the replacement pack was stored discharged for an extended period, cell voltage may have dropped below the charger's detection threshold. Connect the pack for 10–15 minutes anyway — some chargers will initiate a recovery charge at low current once they sense any voltage above 0V. If the charger still shows no activity after that window, check that the dock contacts are clean and making firm contact with the battery terminals.
