Fits LG A902RM and A9M cordless vacuum models, replaces MEV65921201, EAC63758601, EAC63382201, EAC63382202 battery packs.
25.55V lithium-ion cell at 2000mAh delivers 51.1Wh to sustain motor torque on carpet and hard floors.
Connector slides into dock terminal slot with orientation key; locking tab seats flush against vacuum housing.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake with dock charger; cell accepted trickle charge without fault cycles.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — cordless vacuums develop capacity fade from extended trickle charging; remove after reaching full charge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG Cord Zero A9 Series — 25.55V Li-ion Replacement Battery (MEV65921201)

This is a 25.55V, 2000mAh (51.1Wh) lithium-ion battery for the LG Cord Zero A9 range of cordless stick vacuums, including the A902RM, A929KVM, and A9M. It replaces OEM part numbers MEV65921201, EAC63758601, EAC63382201, and EAC63382202. When the original pack no longer holds charge after extended use, this cell restores the vacuum to working condition.

  • A9 Series compatibility: The Cord Zero A9 platform runs a single 25.55V battery architecture across its variants. These models share the same connector, voltage rail, and BMS handshake requirements, which is why one cell covers the full A902RM, A929KVM, and A9M lineup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge cycles on A9 platform hardware. The BMS balanced cells correctly, accepted a full charge without error codes, and held voltage under sustained motor load without tripping overcurrent protection.
  • Dock charging behaviour on A9 vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the wall dock permanently. Continuous dock charging on this platform causes capacity fade significantly faster than charge-and-remove use. Charge to full, then pull the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the Cord Zero A9, suction loss often happens well before the battery LED signals low charge. The motor draws higher current when the filter is partially blocked, which causes voltage to sag under load even though the cell still shows charge. The BMS reads that sag as a protection condition and throttles power to the motor. Check and clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then comes back after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead cell. Restricted airflow — from a clogged filter or blocked floorhead — forces the motor to pull more current than the BMS allows on a sustained draw. The pack shuts the output, cools briefly, then resets. Clear the blockage and check the filter is seated correctly. If the trip still fires on an unobstructed run, measure resting voltage after the trip — a healthy pack should read above 22V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LG Cord Zero A9 charges fine but the suction feels weak from the start — is this the battery or the filter?

Weak suction from a full charge almost always points to a partially blocked filter, not a failing battery. A clogged filter forces the motor to work harder, drawing more current and causing voltage sag that the BMS interprets as a low-power condition. Remove and clean the filter first — if suction strength returns, the battery is not the issue. If suction stays weak after a clean filter test, check resting pack voltage; it should sit above 24V off the charger.

I've had the replacement battery a few months and it already seems to be fading — what causes that so quickly?

The most common cause on the A9 platform is continuous dock charging. Leaving the vacuum on the wall dock between every use keeps the BMS in a low-level trickle state, and lithium cells degrade faster under that pattern than they do from regular charge-and-remove cycles. Charge the battery to full, then take the vacuum off the dock and store it separately. That change alone significantly slows capacity fade on this platform.

The replacement battery won't charge — the dock light stays off or flashes an error. What's happening?

The Cord Zero A9 charger expects a specific BMS handshake before it begins charging. If the BMS on a deeply discharged cell has shut down completely, the charger sees no valid response and refuses to start. Try connecting the battery directly to the dock for 10–15 minutes with the vacuum off — a trickle initialisation cycle can wake a dormant BMS. If the dock light still shows no response, measure cell voltage at the battery terminals; anything below 18V indicates the pack has discharged past safe recovery threshold.
