Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Divoom Timebox Mini — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V 2600mAh Li-ion cell for the Divoom Timebox Mini portable Bluetooth speaker. It fits both the Timebox Mini and Timebox-Mini variants. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the speaker shuts off before the indicator reaches empty.
- Timebox Mini and Timebox-Mini compatibility: Both model name variants use the same PCB layout, connector pin-out, and cell footprint — 68.00 × 18.70 × 18.90mm. The BMS handshake and charge IC are identical across both, so this cell works in either unit without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through repeated charge and discharge loads that replicate the combined draw of the amplifier, LED matrix, and Bluetooth radio. The BMS held cutoff voltage at 2.75V and accepted charge from the onboard circuit without triggering protection flags.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: After fitting the new cell, run it down past 15% before the first full recharge. The Timebox Mini's fuel gauge IC calibrates its capacity register on the first full cycle — skipping this step causes the indicator to report inaccurate state-of-charge from day one.
Capacity fade from constant desk-top charging on the Timebox Mini
The Timebox Mini is often left plugged in at a desk, cycling between 95% and 100% repeatedly throughout the day. Li-ion cells held near full charge experience elevated cathode stress, which accelerates capacity loss faster than normal use cycling would. This is why a unit used daily at a desk can show significant capacity fade within six to twelve months even with low total play hours. To slow this, discharge the speaker below 20% at least once a month before reconnecting the charger.
Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty
This happens when the cell's internal resistance has risen enough that the amplifier's current draw causes a sharp voltage sag — even though the resting voltage still reads mid-range. The amplifier clips because rail voltage drops below the threshold it needs to reproduce peaks cleanly. The display may still show two or three bars while the audio breaks up. If distortion starts above 3.5V under load, the cell has degraded and replacement is the fix.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Timebox Mini shows a full charge on the indicator but the audio breaks up after less than an hour of use — what's happening?
That's voltage sag under load, not a charge level problem. As the cell ages, rising internal resistance causes the voltage to drop sharply when the amplifier and LED matrix pull current together, even though the resting voltage looks fine. The fuel gauge reads resting voltage, so the indicator stays high while the cell can't sustain the load. Check whether distortion starts above 3.5V under playback — if it does, the cell needs replacing.
The Timebox Mini Bluetooth keeps dropping out at higher volume levels but holds steady at low volume — is this a radio issue?
It's not the radio module — it's a current spike issue. At high volume, the amplifier draws a burst of current that, combined with the Bluetooth radio's transmit draw, pulls the cell voltage down momentarily. If the cell can't hold that combined load without sagging below the radio's minimum operating voltage, the Bluetooth stack resets. We saw this behaviour on bench when cell voltage dipped below 3.4V under simultaneous amp and radio draw. Fitting a fresh cell with lower internal resistance stops the drop-outs.
I left my Timebox Mini in a bag for several months and now it won't charge at all — the USB port seems dead.
The cell has likely self-discharged below the USB charge controller's minimum acceptance voltage, which sits around 2.5V on most Li-ion charge ICs. When the cell drops that low, the controller refuses to start a standard charge cycle as a protection measure. Some units will respond to a trickle pre-charge — plug in and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes to let the controller attempt recovery at low current. If the charge indicator still doesn't light after that period, the cell has dropped below safe recovery voltage and replacement is the only option.
