Fits Dopod 700 smartphone; replaces OEM battery part numbers PH26B and AHTXDSSN.
3.7V, 4200mAh Li-ion cell restores full talk time and standby on the 700.
Connector seats flat against the phone's battery slot; locking tab clips down on left edge.
We bench-tested the cell on a Dopod 700 platform; BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dopod 700 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PH26B)

This is a 3.7V, 4200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Dopod 700 smartphone. It replaces OEM part numbers PH26B and AHTXDSSN. Fit the original cell failing to hold a charge or showing erratic capacity behaviour.

  • Dopod 700 fit: The 700 uses a dedicated battery bay with a specific connector pinout and BMS handshake. This cell matches the 3.7V nominal voltage rail and physical dimensions (84.78 × 58.32 × 11.68mm) the phone's charge IC expects.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS engaged protection correctly at both ends of the voltage curve, and charge termination triggered cleanly without overrun.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. The Dopod 700's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Running one slow cycle lets it re-map against the new cell before high-current charging pushes amps into an uncalibrated state.

Why the Dopod 700 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Dopod 700 tracks charge state using a fuel gauge IC that builds a model of the cell's discharge curve over time. When you swap in a new cell, the IC still references the old model. This mismatch causes the displayed percentage to read high or low against actual cell voltage. One full slow discharge to shutdown — then a full charge — rewrites the curve and restores accurate reporting.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display draws a short current spike and the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge has recalibrated. The phone reads 25% but the actual cell voltage collapses under load to below 3.2V, triggering a hard shutdown. It is not a defective cell — it is a calibration lag. Run a full discharge to zero, let the phone shut off naturally, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard current to reset the reference point.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Dopod 700 powers off by itself at around 25% — is the new battery faulty?

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a defective cell. Under modem or screen load, the new cell briefly drops below the BMS cutoff voltage before the fuel gauge IC has learned its actual discharge curve. The phone cuts out even though the displayed percentage looks healthy. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% at standard current — this recalibrates the fuel gauge and stops the early cutoffs.

The phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage before I installed it — what's wrong?

A cell stored at low state of charge can drop below 2.5V per cell, which trips the BMS into lockout mode. The phone will not respond to the power button and may show nothing on charge for the first 10–15 minutes. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20 minutes before attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits re-initialise once the cell recovers above 2.7V.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the new battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first charge cycle, the phone's charge IC can reject the fast-charge handshake if the new cell's BMS hasn't yet completed an initial negotiation cycle. This is normal and usually self-corrects after one full standard-rate charge. If fast charging still does not engage after that first cycle, check that you are using the original Dopod charger — third-party adapters sometimes fail the proprietary protocol negotiation and fall back to 5V standard current permanently.
