Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dreame Bot L10 Prime Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P2150-4S2P-MMBK)
This is a 14.4V lithium-ion battery rated at 5200mAh (74.88Wh), built to fit the Dreame Bot L10 Prime and related L10s variants. It replaces part number P2150-4S2P-MMBK inside the robot vacuum's battery compartment. The pack restores navigation, suction motor power, and brush-roll function after the original cell degrades from repeated charge cycles.
- L10 Prime and L10s platform compatibility: The L10 Prime, L10s Plus, L10s Pro, and L10s Pro Ultra Heat share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between these models requires no wiring changes — the pack communicates directly with each unit's mainboard.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the L10 Prime platform. The BMS correctly reported state-of-charge to the unit's app interface, and overcurrent protection tripped as expected when the motor draw spiked during a filter-restriction simulation.
- Dock charging behaviour on the L10 series: Do not leave the Bot L10 on the charging dock continuously between uses. These units trickle-charge when docked and full — sustained trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in the cell stack. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next cleaning session.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The Bot L10's suction motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked. Under restricted airflow, the motor pulls above its rated amperage, causing the BMS to reduce output voltage before the battery is actually depleted. The vacuum's indicator reads mid-charge, but suction weakens noticeably — especially on carpet. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers immediately after cleaning the filter, the battery was not the cause. If suction remains weak with a clean filter, check pack voltage under load — it should hold above 12.8V during operation.
Motor cuts out mid-run then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor failure. When the brush roll catches on a rug edge or debris clump, the motor load spikes sharply. The BMS interprets this as a fault and cuts output for a few seconds before resetting. If this happens frequently on bare floor with no obstruction, the original battery's internal resistance has risen enough that normal motor-start draw is triggering the trip threshold. A new pack with lower internal resistance resolves this — normal motor-start current should not exceed the BMS trip point on a healthy cell stack.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Dreame Bot L10 Prime loses suction well before the app shows the battery as low — is the battery failing?
Not necessarily the battery first. A partially blocked filter forces the suction motor to draw more current than rated, causing the BMS to throttle output before the cell is depleted — the app still shows mid-charge. Clean the filter and run a full cycle. If suction holds consistently after that, the filter was the cause. If the problem returns with a clean filter, measure pack voltage under load — a degraded cell stack will drop below 12.8V during operation even when the indicator reads high.
The vacuum cuts out for a few seconds during a cleaning run, then starts again on its own — what's happening?
This is a BMS overcurrent trip. When the brush roll snags on a rug or debris, motor current spikes sharply and the BMS shuts output to protect the cells, then resets after a few seconds. On a worn battery, this also happens on flat hard floors because rising internal resistance means even a normal motor-start draw hits the trip threshold. Check whether the cut-outs happen near obstacles or carpet transitions — if yes, clear the obstruction. If they happen randomly on open floor, the cell stack's internal resistance has climbed too high and the pack needs replacing.
I replaced the battery but after a few months the runtime has dropped noticeably — did I do something wrong?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of accelerated capacity fade on the L10 series. When the pack is full and the unit stays docked, the charger sustains a low trickle current through the cells — this degrades the cell stack faster than normal charge-discharge cycling. Remove the Bot L10 from the dock once charging is complete and only return it when the battery needs a top-up. Following this pattern from the point of installation significantly slows fade on the replacement pack.
