Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Dreame RLS95HE / S30 Pro Ultra / S40 / X30s Pro Ultra — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P2024-4S2P-ZLZH)
This is a 14.4V, 6700mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Dreame RLS95HE, S30 Pro Ultra, S40, and X30s Pro Ultra cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part P2024-4S2P-ZLZH and fits the original battery compartment without modification. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or suction noticeably drops off early in a cleaning session.
- RLS95HE, S30 Pro Ultra, S40, X30s Pro Ultra platform fit: These four models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol, which is why one pack covers the group. The replacement cell carries the same P2024-4S2P-ZLZH part number and meets the voltage and discharge rate the motor controller expects.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the RLS95HE platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, and the motor controller accepted the cell across both standard and high-power suction modes. Overcurrent protection tripped correctly under a simulated blockage and reset cleanly on restart.
- Dock charging habit on Dreame stick vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously between uses. Dreame's dock delivers a trickle charge once the pack hits 100%, and sustained trickle charging accelerates cell degradation faster on this platform than on most handheld tools. Charge to full, remove from dock, and reconnect only when the battery needs topping up.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the RLS95HE
On the RLS95HE, suction can fall noticeably before the battery LED signals low charge. This usually isn't a dead battery — it's voltage sag. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than its rated load to compensate, pulling cell voltage down faster than capacity actually depletes. The BMS reads this sag and reduces motor power to protect the pack, which the user experiences as lost suction. Clean the filter first, then recharge to 14.4V and retest before concluding the battery is at fault.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed battery. When sustained suction restriction — from a blocked filter, clogged brush roll, or a hard-carpet run — pushes motor draw above the pack's continuous discharge limit, the BMS cuts output to protect the cells. After a few seconds the BMS resets and power returns. If this happens repeatedly, clear the filter and brush roll before the next run. A healthy replacement pack still trips under the same conditions if the restriction isn't cleared — fixing airflow is the actual fix.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Dreame RLS95HE lose suction halfway through cleaning even though the battery indicator still shows charge?
This is voltage sag, not an empty battery. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than it's rated for, which pulls cell voltage down early and causes the motor controller to reduce power output. The battery indicator reads state of charge, not voltage under load, so it still looks fine. Clean the filter, recharge fully to 14.4V, and run again — suction drop should resolve.
The motor on my Dreame cuts out for a few seconds and then comes back on its own — what's causing that?
That's the BMS tripping on an overcurrent event. When restricted airflow — blocked filter, tangled brush roll, or thick carpet — forces the motor to pull more than the pack's continuous discharge limit, the BMS shuts output off temporarily to protect the cells, then resets. It's not a faulty battery; it will happen with any pack under the same restriction. Clear the filter and brush roll completely, then test again.
My Dreame battery seems to run out much faster than it did when the vacuum was new — why does this happen and can it be reversed?
Capacity fade this severe is almost always caused by continuous dock charging. Dreame's dock keeps the pack at 100% with a trickle charge, and sustained trickle charging accelerates cell degradation faster than periodic full cycles do. Once a cell has faded this way, the lost capacity doesn't recover — the pack needs replacing. With the new battery, charge to full and remove it from the dock rather than leaving it docked permanently.
