Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

E-Plus Pocket PDA — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (WIZA16)
This 3.7V Li-ion battery replaces the original WIZA16 cell in the E-Plus Pocket PDA. Capacity is 2800mAh (10.36Wh). It restores power to the handheld PDA used for contacts, scheduling, and information management when the original cell has degraded or failed.
- Pocket PDA platform fit: The WIZA16 part number ties this cell to the Pocket PDA's specific connector footprint and BMS handshake. The 3.7V nominal rail matches the device's power management IC directly — no voltage conversion in the chain.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Pocket PDA unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC reached full termination current correctly without tripping overvoltage protection.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge accessory and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Pocket PDA after a cell swap
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under load — typically when the CPU ramps up or the backlight peaks — and the BMS cuts output before the percentage reaches zero. The device reads 25% but the cell voltage has already dropped below the safe threshold under that load spike. One full discharge cycle from 100% to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge, resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.
E-Plus Pocket PDA not powering on after sitting in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the Pocket PDA sat unused for several months, the cell voltage may have dropped below 2.5V per cell — the threshold where most BMS circuits lock out to prevent damage. Standard charging will not wake a locked-out BMS. Connect the device to its original charger and leave it for 15–30 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC uses a low-current recovery trickle below 3.0V to bring the cell back above the BMS unlock threshold before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The E-Plus Pocket PDA shows a different battery percentage after I installed the new cell — is the gauge broken?
The fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve from the old cell and applies it to the new one immediately after swap — so the percentage readings are off until it recalibrates. Run one complete cycle: charge to 100%, use the device until it shuts off automatically, then charge back to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the coulomb counter maps to the new cell's actual capacity and percentage readings stabilise.
Fast charging stopped working on the Pocket PDA after I put in the replacement battery — what happened?
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC can reject elevated current rates because the BMS has not yet validated the new cell's internal resistance profile. This is normal behaviour, not a fault. Run the device through one full standard-rate charge cycle first. After that cycle completes, fast-charge accessories should be accepted — if the charge IC still refuses elevated current after two full cycles, check that the charger output matches the device's rated input voltage.
The E-Plus Pocket PDA feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC is pushing current into a cell with slightly higher internal resistance, and that resistance converts some energy to heat. This typically settles after two or three full cycles as the cell's impedance drops. If the device becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — or if the charge IC stops mid-cycle, disconnect the charger and check that the supply voltage matches the 3.7V nominal cell specification before continuing.
