Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ELCA MIRAGE-M / BRAVO-M — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LI-TE)
This 7.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM LI-TE cell in ELCA MIRAGE-M and BRAVO-M wireless crane remote controls. It fits the transmitter units used to operate overhead cranes and hoist systems in industrial environments. Voltage and capacity match the original exactly — no modifications needed to fit the housing.
- MIRAGE-M and BRAVO-M platform: Both remotes share the same LI-TE battery bay, connector orientation, and 7.4V power rail. The BMS handshake requirements are identical across the two units, so one cell fits both without any firmware or connector differences to work around.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a MIRAGE-M transmitter. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, voltage held steady through solenoid activation events, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold — no false dropouts under normal relay switching loads.
- Idle-period charge maintenance: Crane remotes often sit unused for weeks between jobs. Charge this battery once a month during any idle period — Li-ion cells left below 2.5V per cell can enter BMS lockout and refuse to respond to a charger even when reconnected.
Solenoid activation causing power dropout on the MIRAGE-M
When a crane remote triggers a solenoid or relay, the inrush current spike can briefly drag cell voltage below the BMS protection threshold. A partially discharged or degraded battery is far more vulnerable to this — internal resistance climbs as capacity fades, which amplifies the voltage sag during that inrush event. A fresh, fully charged 2600mAh cell keeps internal resistance low enough to absorb the spike without tripping the protection circuit. If dropouts persist with a new cell at full charge, check the solenoid wiring and connector contacts before assuming a battery fault.
Remote showing low battery indicator immediately after new cell install
Replacement Li-ion cells ship at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V to 3.8V per cell, not at full charge. The MIRAGE-M reads this as a low-battery state and flags it on the transmitter display straight away. This is not a faulty cell. Connect the battery to the OEM charger and bring it to a full 8.4V before use — the low-battery indicator will clear once the cell reaches operating charge. Do not put the remote into service on a storage-voltage cell, particularly where E-stop response speed matters.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ELCA MIRAGE-M crane remote won't turn on after sitting unused for two months — new battery still won't wake it up?
If the original battery discharged below 2.5V per cell during storage, the BMS enters lockout and blocks current even when a charger is connected. Before swapping to the new LI-TE cell, connect it to the ELCA charger for at least 30 minutes — the trickle stage will coax the protection circuit out of lockout. Once the cell reaches approximately 7.0V, normal charging resumes and the remote will power on.
The crane remote cuts out mid-operation when I activate a hoist movement — could this be the battery?
Yes. Activating a hoist relay sends an inrush current spike back through the power rail. If the battery's internal resistance is high — either from age or a partially discharged state — the resulting voltage sag trips the BMS low-voltage cutoff and the remote drops out. Charge the LI-TE cell fully to 8.4V before use and confirm no dropout occurs. If the fault continues on a full charge, inspect the transmitter's connector pins for corrosion causing additional resistance.
E-stop response on the MIRAGE-M feels slower than usual — can the battery cause this?
E-stop response time is voltage-dependent. As the cell discharges toward the lower end of its range, the transmitter's output signal weakens slightly, adding a small lag before the receiver acts. The MIRAGE-M is designed for safety-critical applications where response speed matters, so always operate it on a fully charged cell at 8.4V. Check cell voltage with a multimeter before any lifting session — if it reads below 7.8V, recharge before use.
