Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electrolux PI92-6DGM / PI92-4STN / RX92-4STN — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (4060002609)
This 7.4V, 4500mAh (33.3Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Electrolux PI92-6DGM, PI92-4STN, and RX92-4STN cordless stick vacuums. It fits directly into the battery slot on each of these models and communicates with the vacuum's onboard BMS. If your original pack no longer holds charge or cuts out mid-clean, this is the direct replacement.
- PI92 and RX92 platform fit: The PI92-6DGM, PI92-4STN, and RX92-4STN share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 7.4V voltage rail. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across all three, so one cell fits all without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on the PI92 platform. The BMS engaged overcurrent protection correctly under simulated blockage load and released cleanly once load was removed. Cell voltage held within spec across the full discharge curve.
- Dock charging practice for this vacuum: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock connection keeps the cells in a trickle-charge state, which accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion packs faster than on any other cordless vacuum charging pattern. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS's continuous-output threshold — typically caused by a partially blocked filter or full dust container, not a weak battery. As restriction builds, the motor works harder, pulling higher current at the same 7.4V rail. The BMS responds by throttling output to protect the cells, and suction drops noticeably even though the indicator still shows charge remaining. Clean the filter and empty the container first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cuts out completely then recovers after a few seconds
This is an overcurrent trip, not a dying battery. When sustained airflow restriction forces the motor to spike current demand beyond the BMS cutoff threshold, the BMS shuts output off as a protection measure. After a few seconds the BMS resets, power returns, and the cycle repeats if the restriction is still present. Check the filter for blockage and inspect the brushroll for tangled debris — remove the restriction and the cutouts will stop. If the problem persists on a clean, unobstructed vacuum, measure resting cell voltage; it should read between 7.2V and 8.4V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Electrolux PI92 has noticeably less suction than it used to, but the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — is the battery actually the problem?
Probably not the battery. On the PI92 platform, a partially clogged filter forces the motor to work harder and draw more current, which causes the BMS to throttle output — you lose suction while the indicator still reads high. Clean the filter thoroughly and empty the dust container, then test suction again. If it recovers, the battery is fine; if suction stays weak on a clean machine, check cell resting voltage — a healthy pack reads between 7.2V and 8.4V.
The vacuum ran fine for months, then started cutting out mid-clean and coming back on by itself — what is happening?
That is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, then resetting once load drops. It usually means airflow is restricted enough that the motor is pulling current above the BMS's protection threshold — the BMS cuts power, the motor cools briefly, and power returns. Inspect the brushroll for hair or debris wrap and clean the filter before assuming the battery is faulty. If the cutouts continue on a fully unobstructed machine, the replacement cell's BMS may need a full charge cycle to calibrate — charge to 100% and discharge under normal use before drawing conclusions.
I left my PI92 sitting on the dock for weeks and now it barely holds charge — did the new battery fail?
Continuous dock sitting is the most common cause of early capacity fade in Li-ion stick vacuum batteries. When the pack stays on the charger after reaching full charge, it cycles through low-level trickle charging that degrades cell capacity faster than normal use ever would. Remove the battery from the dock once it reaches full charge and store the vacuum off the dock between cleans. After two or three normal charge-and-use cycles off the dock, measure whether runtime has improved — most packs recover partially once trickle-charge stress stops.
