Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch BBH3ALL23 Series — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (828BPV216-01)
This is a 21.6V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Bosch 323204 23/01 and BBH3ALL23 cordless stick vacuum range. It fits the full BBH3ALL23 family including the /03 and /04 variants, restoring full motor voltage to the suction head. Capacity is 2600mAh (56.16Wh) — matched to the original specification.
- BBH3ALL23 platform fit: All models in the BBH3ALL23 line share the same 21.6V cell stack, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping this battery into any variant in the series does not require a firmware or connector workaround.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the BBH3ALL23 charger and confirmed the BMS completed a full charge handshake without fault codes. Cell voltage held at 21.6V nominal across draw cycles on both hard floor and carpet motor load settings.
- Dock charging behaviour on this vacuum: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock contact keeps the BMS in a low-level trickle state that accelerates capacity fade on this cell chemistry. Charge to full and remove from the dock between uses.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The BBH3ALL23 motor draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to compensate, pulling the cell voltage down faster than the indicator circuit tracks. The indicator reads state-of-charge, not real-time voltage under load, so it can show two bars while the motor is already voltage-starved. Under these conditions the suction drops noticeably before any low-battery warning appears. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction causes current draw to spike beyond the BMS threshold, the protection circuit opens and shuts the motor off. The BMS resets automatically after a few seconds once current demand drops, which is why the vacuum restarts on its own. Check the filter and check the brush-roll for trapped debris — both create the sustained high-draw condition that triggers the trip. Clear the restriction and the cutout stops.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Bosch BBH3ALL23 loses suction quickly but the battery indicator still shows charge — is the battery faulty?
Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which drags cell voltage down under load well before the indicator catches up. The indicator reads stored charge, not live voltage under motor strain. Clean the filter first — if suction returns to normal, the battery is fine. If suction still fades after a clean filter, check cell resting voltage with a multimeter; a healthy cell sits above 21V at rest.
The vacuum motor cuts out during use and then starts again on its own after a few seconds — what is causing this?
That restart pattern is the BMS overcurrent protection tripping and resetting. When the motor fights restricted airflow or a jammed brush-roll, current draw spikes past the BMS cutoff threshold and the circuit opens to protect the cell. Once current demand drops, the BMS resets — usually within a few seconds. Clear the brush-roll of any trapped hair or debris and clean the filter, then test again; if the cutout stops, the battery itself was not the fault.
The replacement battery is draining faster than the original did when new — what is degrading it?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause on this vacuum platform. Leaving the BBH3ALL23 on the dock permanently keeps the BMS cycling in a low-level trickle state that gradually reduces cell capacity. Charge the battery fully, then remove the vacuum from the dock and store it off-charge between uses. If capacity has already faded noticeably, run two or three full charge-and-use cycles without interruption — this allows the BMS to recalibrate its charge-state tracking to the actual cell capacity.
