Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ETA 2228 Navaggio — 14.4V Li-ion 3200mAh Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V, 3200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the ETA 2228 Navaggio cordless vacuum cleaner. It slots into the same position as the original cell and restores full power to the motor. Capacity is 3200mAh (46.08Wh), matching the factory specification.
- ETA 2228 Navaggio fit: The 2228 Navaggio runs a 14.4V motor rail with a specific connector orientation and BMS handshake. This cell matches that voltage rail and connector so the vacuum's onboard electronics recognise the pack and allow normal operation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through discharge and recharge under suction load. The BMS held the correct cutoff voltage at low charge, and the cell stayed within expected temperature range throughout sustained draw.
- Dock charging on the Navaggio: Remove the vacuum from the charging dock once the battery reaches full charge. The Navaggio's dock does not cut trickle charge automatically — leaving it docked continuously accelerates capacity fade faster than normal cycle wear.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low
The Navaggio's suction indicator reads voltage at rest, not under motor load. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws harder to maintain airflow, pulling more current than rated. Voltage sags under that load even when the resting voltage still reads mid-range on the indicator. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery was being blamed for a restriction fault.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or hair wrap on the brush roll — the motor strains against the restriction and pulls a current spike. The BMS reads that spike as a fault and cuts power to protect the cell. After a few seconds the BMS resets and the motor restarts. Clear the restriction at the nozzle or brush roll, check the filter is seated correctly, and the cutouts will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ETA 2228 Navaggio won't charge at all on the new replacement battery — the dock light doesn't come on. What's wrong?
The Navaggio charger expects a BMS handshake before it starts delivering current — if the replacement cell's BMS is in a deep-discharge lock state, the charger sees no response and stays dark. Try connecting the vacuum directly to the charger for 10–15 minutes without using the dock cradle, as the cradle contacts sometimes don't seat firmly enough to initiate the handshake. If the charger light still doesn't respond, check that the battery contacts on the vacuum body are clean and making firm contact. A resting cell voltage below 10V on a 14.4V Li-ion pack means the BMS has locked out — at that point the cell needs a compatible Li-ion recovery charger to bring it above the re-initialisation threshold.
The battery fades noticeably faster than the original after just a few months of use — why?
The most common cause is continuous dock charging. The Navaggio's dock keeps a trickle current flowing after the pack reaches full charge, and that sustained trickle degrades cell capacity faster than regular charge-discharge cycles. Remove the vacuum from the dock once charging is complete rather than leaving it docked between every use. If the runtime was short from the first charge, run two full discharge-and-recharge cycles to let the BMS calibrate — a cell that has never been fully cycled often reads capacity incorrectly on the first few uses.
The Navaggio motor cuts out the moment I press onto thick carpet, then restarts on its own — is that a battery fault?
That cutout is the BMS tripping on a current surge, not a weak cell. Pressing into thick carpet increases resistance against the brush roll and nozzle, which forces the motor to draw a short spike of current above the BMS overcurrent threshold. The BMS shuts power off to protect the cell, then resets within seconds once current drops. Check the brush roll for hair wrap and confirm the filter is clean and seated — both increase motor load and make the surge worse. Once the airflow restriction is cleared, the overcurrent trips will stop.
