Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fiio M11 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AEC644690)
This 3.8V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the internal battery in the Fiio M11 portable digital audio player. It matches the OEM part number AEC644690 and fits the M11's battery bay at 91.00 × 45.30 × 6.40mm. When the original cell no longer holds charge, this replacement restores the M11 to full operating capacity.
- M11 platform fit: The M11 runs its DAC, amplification stage, and display from a single 3.8V Li-Polymer cell. The connector pinout and BMS communication protocol on this replacement match the OEM spec — the M11's firmware will read state-of-charge accurately from the first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the M11's charge controller and monitored BMS handshake data. The protection circuit responded correctly to both low-voltage cutoff and charge termination — no false trips at any gain setting.
- First-cycle calibration on the M11: Run the M11 at 50% volume through the first full charge cycle. Full-volume operation during the first cycle draws peak current from an uncalibrated cell and can cause the BMS to trip early before the cell reaches its rated 4000mAh delivery capacity.
Amp shutting off before the battery indicator reaches empty on the M11
The M11's amplification stage requires a higher minimum rail voltage than the display cutoff is calibrated for. When the cell voltage drops toward 3.2V under load, the amp circuit loses headroom and shuts down — even though the on-screen indicator may still show one or two bars remaining. A new cell that hasn't been calibrated to the M11's charge controller will exaggerate this mismatch. Run two full charge-discharge cycles at moderate volume to let the BMS map the cell's actual voltage curve, then confirm the cutoff aligns with an empty indicator at approximately 3.0V resting voltage.
M11 battery draining noticeably faster at high gain
Output power on the M11 scales directly with gain setting — high gain pulls significantly more current from the cell than low gain at the same volume number. This is normal amplifier behaviour, not a battery fault. A cell showing accelerated drain at high gain is doing exactly what the circuit demands. If drain rate seems excessive even at low gain, check that the M11's screen timeout is set to the shortest available interval, since the display draws a fixed current load regardless of audio output.

Frequently Asked Questions
My M11 cuts out mid-track but still shows battery remaining — what's happening?
The M11's amplifier stage shuts down when cell voltage sags below its minimum rail requirement, which happens before the display's fuel gauge reaches empty. This is a voltage floor mismatch, not a capacity problem. A fresh cell that hasn't completed two full charge-discharge cycles will sag harder under audio load and hit that floor earlier than expected. Run two complete cycles at moderate volume and check whether the cutoff moves closer to the empty indicator — resting voltage at true empty should be around 3.0V.
Why does the M11 get warm during long listening sessions after a battery swap?
Heat during extended playback comes from two sources running together — amplifier efficiency losses and the discharge heat the Li-Polymer cell generates as it delivers sustained current. This is expected behaviour on any Class A or Class AB portable amplifier. What's not normal is heat concentrated at the battery compartment seam combined with a sudden drop in output level, which points to the BMS throttling current due to an elevated cell temperature reading. If that happens, let the unit cool to room temperature and restart — the BMS will reset once the cell temperature drops below its protection threshold.
The M11 charges slowly and the indicator barely moves for the first hour — is the new battery faulty?
A new Li-Polymer cell starts its first charge cycle in a pre-conditioning phase where the charge controller deliberately limits current to let the cell stabilise. This appears as very slow indicator movement for the first 45–90 minutes and is normal. The controller then switches to constant-current mode and progress speeds up. If the indicator still hasn't moved after two hours connected to a known-good USB-C source delivering at least 5V/2A, check the cable — the M11's charge circuit is sensitive to cables that negotiate a lower current than the port supports.
