Fits Franklin Wireless RG1100 hotspot; replaces OEM battery 941-925552-011.
3.8V, 3800mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers rated capacity for full hotspot runtime.
Connector seats flush into the RG1100 battery slot with no adapter needed.
We bench-tested the cell at full load with WiFi and cellular active simultaneously.
Keep the hotspot in a well-ventilated location during extended sessions—the cellular radio operates at maximum output power when devices are far away, generating significant heat that stresses the battery.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Franklin Wireless RG1100 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (941-925552-011)

This 3.8V, 3800mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the OEM cell in the Franklin Wireless RG1100 mobile hotspot. It fits the RG1100 directly, matching the original's connector, dimensions, and BMS communication protocol. Capacity is rated at 14.44Wh and sourced to match the factory specification.

  • RG1100 platform fit: The RG1100 runs a combined cellular modem and multi-device WiFi radio off a single 3.8V Li-Polymer cell. The BMS on this replacement matches that voltage rail and the charge termination thresholds the device firmware expects — no error flags on boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and load on the RG1100 with eight simultaneous connected clients. The BMS held steady through the combined modem and WiFi draw, with no unexpected cutoffs at peak load.
  • Ventilation during extended sessions: Keep the RG1100 on a hard, flat surface when running continuous sessions — not in a bag or pocket. The cellular radio ramps to maximum transmit power when connected devices are at range limits, and trapped heat around the battery accelerates cell stress significantly.

Why the RG1100 drops connected devices mid-session under full client load

When the RG1100 is serving multiple clients simultaneously, the modem and WiFi radio pull current at the same time. If the battery cell has degraded, its internal resistance climbs — and the combined draw causes a brief voltage sag below the BMS cutoff threshold. The hotspot interprets this as an undervoltage event and resets the radio stack, which kicks connected clients. A fresh cell with lower internal resistance handles the combined draw without the sag.

RG1100 showing solid charge indicator but not booting after sitting unused

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. A unit left in a drawer for several months can drop below the RG1100's minimum boot voltage — typically around 3.0V per cell — even if the indicator LED briefly flashes when plugged in. The charger may show activity, but the firmware won't initialise below that threshold. Charge the unit continuously for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on, then check that the cell is reading above 3.5V before boot.

Frequently Asked Questions

My RG1100 keeps kicking everyone off WiFi for a few seconds and then reconnecting — what's causing that?

That's a voltage sag reset. When multiple devices are connected and the cellular signal is weak, the modem ramps transmit power and the WiFi radio runs simultaneously — total current draw spikes sharply. A degraded cell can't hold voltage under that combined load, the BMS trips, and the radio stack restarts. Replacing the battery cell resolves it if the drop only happens under full client load or in poor signal conditions.

The RG1100 drains much faster when I'm in an area with weak 4G signal — is something wrong with the battery?

Nothing is wrong with the battery — this is normal radio behaviour amplified by a degrading cell. In weak signal areas, the modem continuously boosts transmit power to maintain the cellular link, which can double or triple the current draw compared to strong-signal use. A new 3800mAh cell restores full capacity, but expect noticeably shorter use in fringe coverage zones regardless — that's the modem working hardest. Move the hotspot closer to a window or external position to reduce transmit power demand.

My RG1100 won't turn on at all after sitting in a bag for a few months — is the battery dead?

Likely not dead, but deeply discharged. Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage, and the RG1100 won't boot if the cell has dropped below approximately 3.0V — the firmware won't initialise. Plug the unit in and leave it charging without pressing the power button for at least 30–45 minutes. If the LED shows any activity, the cell is recovering; attempt a boot once it's had sustained charge input.
