Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

FRITZ!Fon C6 / X6 DECT Handset — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (312BAT026)
This 3.7V 1200mAh (4.44Wh) Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the FRITZ!Fon C6, C6 DECT, and X6 cordless handsets. It matches the OEM dimensions of 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm and connects directly to the handset's internal battery contacts. Part numbers 312BAT026, 312BAT030, and FRA051 all apply to this fit group.
- C6, C6 DECT, and X6 compatibility: These three handset variants share the same battery bay dimensions, contact layout, and 3.7V supply rail. The BMS handshake requirements are identical across the group, so one cell covers all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a C6 handset. The BMS accepted the cell without error, held the voltage rail stable during active DECT transmission, and showed no cutoff events during standby draw.
- First charge after fitting: Seat the handset in the base immediately after installing this cell and leave it there for a full 16 hours before first use. Li-ion cells shipped in partial-charge storage state benefit from a slow, complete first charge to calibrate the handset's battery indicator correctly.
Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement
A new Li-ion cell often reports fewer bars on the handset indicator for the first two or three charge cycles. This happens because the handset's fuel gauge is still calibrated to the worn curve of the old cell. Run two to three full charge-and-use cycles and the indicator recalibrates to the 1200mAh capacity of this cell. If talk time is still noticeably short after five cycles, check that the handset is seating fully in the base — a partial contact on the charging pins delivers a lower charge current and the cell never reaches a full 4.2V top-off.
Handset not pairing with base station after battery swap
Removing the old battery cuts power completely to the handset's DECT module, which can clear the pairing registration stored in volatile memory on some FRITZ!Fon models. The base station retains its side of the pairing, so the mismatch causes the handset to show no signal or a search loop. Re-register the handset using the base station's pairing button — on the FRITZ!Box base, hold the DECT button for two seconds until the LED flashes, then navigate to Connections on the handset and select Register Handset.

Frequently Asked Questions
My FRITZ!Fon C6 battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — is the new cell faulty?
This is almost always a seating issue, not a cell fault. The C6 base charges through two small pins on the handset's underside, and even a slight tilt stops current flowing. Lift the handset out, check that nothing is blocking the charging contacts on either the handset or the cradle, then reseat it firmly until it sits flush. Confirm charging has resumed by checking that the battery indicator on the handset display shows a charging animation within 60 seconds of reseating.
The base station shows a flashing charge error light after I installed the new battery — what's causing it?
A Li-ion cell shipped in low-charge storage state can present a voltage below the threshold the FRITZ!Box base expects to see at the start of a charge cycle, triggering an error state. Take the handset off the base, wait 10 seconds, then reseat it — this resets the charge controller handshake. If the error light continues, check that the cell connector is fully clicked into the handset's battery socket, since a partially seated connector raises contact resistance and the base reads it as an abnormal load.
The signal bars on my C6 drop faster when the battery is low — is the replacement cell causing range problems?
This is normal Li-ion behaviour under RF load. The DECT transmitter in the C6 draws a brief current spike each time it transmits, and when the cell voltage sags toward the lower end of its discharge curve, that spike causes a momentary voltage drop that the handset interprets as low signal. It is not a fault with the replacement cell. Keep the handset charged above the two-bar threshold and the transmit power stays stable — let it drop to one bar and the sag becomes noticeable at the edges of your DECT range.
