Run one complete discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted full recharge cycle to let the learn cycle rewrite those stored values.

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge predicts remaining charge based on the old cell's profile, and when real cell voltage drops under combined CPU and display load, the BMS cuts power before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The fix is not a hardware swap — it is calibration. Discharge fully to hibernate cutoff twice in succession, then charge to 100% each time. After two cycles the gauge IC maps the new curve and the early shutdowns stop.

The LH532 BIOS shows the replacement battery as "unknown" or 0% on first boot — is the cell faulty?

No. The BIOS fuel gauge IC reads EEPROM data written by the original cell and flags anything that doesn't match as unknown or empty. The new cell hasn't given the system enough data to re-map yet. Run a full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that first complete cycle the BIOS will recognise the cell and display a real percentage.

Windows is showing the wrong Wh rating in Device Manager after fitting this battery — should it match the 47.52Wh on the listing?

Not always on the first read. Windows pulls the rated Wh figure from the battery's EEPROM, which stores design capacity, not the live measured value. Some cells report a slightly different figure until the fuel gauge IC completes its first calibration cycle against actual charge throughput. Run two full discharge-to-100% cycles and check again — the reported Wh figure will stabilise to match the cell's actual capacity.

The LH532's charge stops at 80% and won't go higher — is this a fault with the replacement cell?

Almost always no. Many Fujitsu BIOS versions include a charge limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during extended mains use. Check the BIOS under the Power menu for a "Battery Charge Level" or "Eco Charge" option. Disable it or set the threshold to 100%, then reconnect the charger — charging will resume to full.
