Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fujitsu LifeBook UH572 — 14.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (FMVNBP219)
This is a 14.8V, 2450mAh (36.26Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Fujitsu LifeBook UH572 ultrabook. It replaces OEM part numbers FMVNBP219, FPB0280, and FPCBP345Z. Fit this when the original cell no longer holds charge or the laptop has lost all mobile portability.
- LifeBook UH572 fitment: The UH572 uses a slim 5.90mm li-polymer pack to stay within ultrabook thickness limits. The connector pinout, BMS data lines, and voltage rail all match the OEM spec — the BIOS will recognise the new cell and begin its charge cycle without any manual override.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the UH572 platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge acceptance started immediately, and the protection circuit tripped at the expected low-voltage cutoff under load — no false positives.
- Post-install calibration on the UH572: After fitting, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears on the first boot after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The LifeBook UH572 BIOS reads health data stored in the battery's EEPROM. When a new cell arrives, that EEPROM carries factory baseline data that doesn't match what the BIOS recorded for the old pack. The system flags a mismatch and displays a poor health or unknown status warning — not a fault with the new cell. One complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge clears the learn cycle and resets the health readout to normal.
UH572 shutting down without warning at 20–30% charge shown
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge shows 20–30% remaining, but the cell voltage has already dropped below the minimum the CPU and display can sustain under combined load — the system cuts power instantly rather than gracefully hibernating. The fix is two to three full discharge-and-recharge cycles so the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's discharge profile accurately. After calibration, the shutdown point will track actual cell voltage instead of the stale curve from the old pack.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the Fujitsu LifeBook UH572 show "0% available (plugged in, charging)" right after I installed the new battery?
The fuel gauge IC on the UH572 loses its calibration reference when the old cell is removed, so it reports 0% until it completes at least one full cycle against the new cell. Plug in the charger and let the battery charge to 100% without interruption, then discharge fully to hibernate-cutoff. After one complete cycle, the gauge will read correctly.
The system info panel shows the wrong Wh rating — it says something different from 36.26Wh. Is the battery faulty?
The Wh figure shown in Windows or Fujitsu's battery utility is pulled from the EEPROM on the new cell, and it reflects the rated chemistry spec rather than a live measurement. The physical cell is 36.26Wh — the discrepancy is a data-field difference between OEM EEPROM programming and what the OS expects, not a sign the battery is underperforming. Run two full discharge-and-recharge cycles and the reported value will settle as the fuel gauge IC builds a real capacity map.
My UH572 charges the new battery fine but stops at 80% and never goes higher — is the cell defective?
This is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Fujitsu's firmware on the UH572 includes a battery charge threshold setting that caps charging at 80% when enabled — it is there to reduce long-term cell stress during periods of constant AC use. Open the Fujitsu Battery Utility (or check BIOS under Power Management) and set the charge limit to 100% to restore full charge acceptance.
