Base station charge light not coming on after inserting the new pack

To recover it, confirm the handset is fully seated so all three contact pins are engaged. If the charge light still does not activate after 30 minutes, remove and re-seat the handset — full contact on the centre pin is required for the base to initiate the charge cycle.
